Audubon and SCC At South Central Calhoun Tournament
South Central Calhoun picked up a tournament championship a week after taking 2nd place in Humboldt. Audubon finished 4th, going 3-3 on the day, with a close loss to the Titans in 3 sets. The Titans went 12-1 in sets while the Wheelers finished 7-8 thanks to a tight 3 set win over Spencer, taking the last two sets 22-20 and 15-12. South Central Calhoun was only pushed in the Audubon match dominating their other matchups.
Kylee Schleisman led a balanced back row attack for the Titans with 32 digs, followed by Brenna McAlister 16, Riley Batta 14, Alexa Holm 13 and Jayci Graeve with 12. Graeve did a nice job finding her hitters in the right spots, finishing with 76 assists spread out to 7 different hitters. Riley Batta led the hitters with 51 kills, Brenna McAlister finished with 26 and Keira Hammen had 22 kills. Hammen paced the defense at the net with 10 blocks while Mollie Monahan and Brenna McAlister each had 5 blocks. McAlister had a team high 10 aces, Riley Batta had 9, Jayci Graeve had 8 and Alexa Holm and Kylee Schleisman each had 6.
The Wheelers were led at the net by Mattie Nielsen with 48 kills and Harlow Miller with 22. Addie Hocker had a team high 71 assists. Milller had a team high 14 blocks with Hocker adding 6 blocks. Audrey Jensen led the back row with 29 assists, Kylee Hartl added 20 and Mattie Nielsen finished with 17. Audrey Jensen also had a team high 7 aces with Harlow Miller finishing with 5 and Kylee Hartl with 4.
The Titans finished the weekend at 13-4 and head to Alta-Aurelia on Thursday. The Wheelers are 4-4 heading into a triangular on Tuesday where they host Glidden Ralston and Madrid.

Paton Churdan and CRB At Coon Rapids Bayard Tournament
Coon Rapids Bayard had a pair of matches go 3 sets, splitting them on their way to a 2-3 record. Paton Churdan had two real close losses, dropping all 4 sets in those matches to finish the day 0-5. The Crusaders went 5-7 in sets, while the Rockets were 0-10. Coon Rapids Bayard won a tough 3 set match over Madrid but fell in a 3 set match to Ogden. Paton Churdan hung tough in their opener, losing two tight sets to Coon Rapids Bayard along with dropping both sets vs Ogden 21-19.
Malia Clayburg led two Crusaders in double figures in kills with 15 while Shelbi Wiskus ended with 10. Gracy Johnson led the team with 27 assists and was second the team with 28 digs behind Lacie Davis with 38 digs. Violet Johnson had 22 digs and Anna Hart added 19 with Lydia Hofbauer with 17 digs. Shelbi Wiskus had a team high 8 blocks and Malia Clayburg led the team with 6 aces, Gracy Johnson added 5 aces.
Becca Anderson paced Paton Churdan with 16 kills, just ahead of Paige Teeples who had 14 kills. Emma Stream finished with 26 assists and Bailey Anderson finished with 23 assists. Tarynn Fisher paced a balanced back row with 17 digs, Emma Stream and Bailey Anderson both had 14. Bailey Anderson and Paige Teeples each had 5 aces and Becca Anderson had 4 aces.
The Crusaders were 3-8 on the season heading into Tuesday triangular at IKM-Manning with East Sac. Paton Churdan is 0-6 on the season and hosts Glidden Ralston on Thursday.

East Sac and Ar-We-Va At Ridge View Tournament
East Sac continued to show growth, advancing into the finals for a rematch with Ridge View while Ar-We-Va opened their season, getting better in each match. The Raiders went 4-2, losing the Ridge View twice including in the tournament final. The Raiders were 10-4 in sets with all 4 set losses to Ridge View, sweeping through the rest of the tournament. Ar-We-Va fell in all three matches, going 0-6 in sets, scoring 15 or more in three of their six sets.
The Raiders had three players swinging well with Kate Vondrak leading the team with 37 kills, Kenna Meyer had 33 kills and Addisen Ehler finished with 21 kills. Meyer had a really strong day, leading the team with 42 digs and trying with Greeley Schlepp for the team lead with 5 aces. Schlepp added 20 digs. Mary Bontrager led the team with 44 assists while adding 34 digs and Kate Vondrak had 28 digs and tied for the team high with 6 blocks with Addisen Ehler. Kendall Quirk had 24 assists and Jen Aschinger added 17 assists.
The Rockets were led by Maggie Ragaller with 10 kills, Kora Obrecht had 5 kills. Delaney Schurke finished with 21 assists and had all but one of the teams assists. Maggie Ragaller led the team with 12 digs and Jamie Hausman finished with 10 digs while Kora Obrecht finished with 7 digs. Maggie Ragaller also had a team high with 3 blocks, Jamie Hausman and Kora Obrecht had team high 2 aces each.
The Raiders improved to 6-7 on the season, heading into a triangular at IKM-Manning with Coon Rapids Bayard on Tuesday. The Rockets start the season 0-3 and host MVAOCOU on Tuesday.
