The Glidden Ralston Wildcats were looking to bounce back after a tough challenge at Valley as they took on GTRA in week two Friday night.
GTRA, coming off a second-round playoff appearance last season, showed up with an offense that Glidden Ralston had difficulties slowing down. The Titans were able to put up 12 points in the first quarter, and another 30 in the second quarter to lead 42-0 at halftime. The Titans had a strong running game that produced five rushing touchdowns and one lone receiving touchdown. In the second half, GTRA put up one more touchdown in the third quarter while Glidden Ralston was able to get a touchdown of their own on the board in the fourth quarter, along with a successful two-point conversion. Lucas Christian was credited with that rushing touchdown. Ultimately, GTRA came out on top by a final score of 50-8.
The loss drops Glidden Ralston to 1-1 overall on the season. The Wildcats open up district play as they travel to take on Ar-We-Va. Listen to the week three match-up with Jeff Blankman on 93.7 KKRL starting around 6:25.
