Turnovers hurt Carroll in the 1st half but the defense was able to keep the Tigers in the game. They offense executed well in the 2nd half, getting good looks but Carroll wasn’t able to get shots to fall as ADM took control in the 4th quarter, pulling away for a 13-point win. Carroll was outscored at the free throw line 13-4 as ADM went 13-19 from the free throw line and Carroll was 4-8.
Both offenses came out sharp with Carroll trialing 22-19 at the end of the quarter. The game shifted in the 2nd quarter with the defenses making adjustments and Carroll tying the game at 30 at half. The struggles offensively continued in the 2nd half for Carroll as ADM outscored them 28-15 in the 2nd half with Carroll down by six going into the final stanza.
Payton Wardell paced the Carroll offense with 12-points along with grabbing 8 rebounds. Evan Hammer added 11-points and 7 rebounds and Caden Lengeling had 10-points. Mac Collison chipped in with 6-points.
The loss drops Carroll to 10-10 overall and 8-8 in the Raccoon River Conference. They travel to Harlan on Thursday to wrap up the regular season.

The East Sac County Raiders wrap up their regular season with a home win over MVAOCOU. The First quarter was back and forth as the game started close. The Raiders jumped out to a 17-13 lead going to the second quarter. Defensively, ESC was better in the second quarter as they were able to open the game up going into the locker rooms. The Raiders led 37-23 at the half. The Raiders were able to extend their lead in the second half as they outscored MVAOCOU in the third and fourth quarters. East Sac County outscored MVAOCOU 19-15 in the third quarter to extend their lead 56-38 going to the fourth. The Raiders put up 19 points in the fourth quarter and went on to win 75-54.
ESC shot over 60 percent from the field while knocking down ten threes from behind the arc. Four East Sac County players scored double figures in the win. Ryan Clair scored a team-high 22 points. Sam Julin was the Raiders second leading scorer with 15 points. Julin knocked down five of the team’s ten threes. Luke Wright chipped in 14 points for ESC and pulled down a team-high nine rebounds. Clair was second on the team in rebounds with eight. Caleb Eichorn recorded 12 points for the Raiders.
With the win, East Sac County improves to 17-4 as they wrap up their regular season. The Raiders are back in action on Thursday against the winner of Greene County and Manson NW Webster.

The Paton Churdan Rockets season comes to an end with a home loss to Woodward Academy Friday night in the opening round of the Class 1A postseason. The Rockets nearly rallied from a slow start, trailing 15-7 at the end of the 1st quarter and down 37-12 at half. They clamped down in the 3rd quarter, holding Woodward Academy to 10-points while Trevon Keely and Cayden Stream helped the Rockets score 21-points to pull within 47-33 going into the 4th quarter. Paton Churdan wore down, having to exert a lot of energy in the 3rd and weren’t able to finish off the come back. Trevon Keely and Cayden Stream were the Rockets leading scorers with 11 points. Dane Peterson chipped in eight points for Paton Churdan. With the loss, the Rockets season comes to an end at 1-19.
