Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Carroll Girls Fall in OT on Friday

Carroll had a game slip away on Friday on the road, leading by four points with 1:00 left in the 4th quarter. ADM hit a couple of threes while the Tigers got a pair of free throws from Olivia Rowedder and two more from Katelyn Aden to maintain a lead. ADM was able to take advantage of missed free throws in the closing seconds and hit a three to send the game into overtime. Carroll struggled to score in the overtime, though they played well on defense but fell by two-points, outscored 4-2 in overtime. Carroll dominated the early part of the game, getting up 11-3 at the end of the 1st quarter but ADM rallied in the 2nd quarter, getting hot from the outside. The game was tied at half at 15. Carroll went back in front in the 3rd and led most of the 2nd half.

Olivia Rowedder had a huge game on the boards, grabbing 14 rebounds to go with 7-points while Katleyn Aden led them with 11-points. Ali Kock and Chloe Kock both finished with 9-points and Sophia Tidgren added 5-points. Carly Menken pulled down 8 rebounds and Mollie Feld had 4 assists and 4 steals.

The loss drops the Tigers to 11-9 overall and 8-7 in the Raccoon River Conference. They host Denison Schleswig on Wednesday in the opening round of Regionals.
