Glidden Ralston took the lead for good late in the 1st quarter and pulled away in the 2nd half, leading by as many as 25 early in the 4th quarter as they snap a 6-game losing streak to the Rockets. Ar-We-Va started the game well, pounding the ball inside to Emmett Neumann, who score their first 8-points, taking a 4-0 and 8-5 lead. Ar-We-Va struggled from the field and relied on the 3-point shot but weren’t making them, hitting just 2-28 from beyond the arc. A pair of 3’s in the 1st quarter by Jonathan Bergmeier put the Wildcats ahead 11-8 at the end of the 1st quarter. His 4-3’s helped the Wildcats outscore the Rockets 24-6 from beyond the arc.
Ar-We-Va was able to establish Emmett Neumann inside early in the game, jumping up 4-0 and 6-2. Jonathan Bergmeier scored to put the Wildcats on the board, then hit back-to-back shots from deep the tie the game and give the Wildcats a 11-8 lead at the end of the 1st quarter. Emmett Snyder did a nice job penetrating to the lane, scoring and opening up looks for teammates. He fed Charles Schon to put the Wildcats up 15-10, then scored on his own to extend their lead to 17-10. Harley Molina hit a three for Ar-We-Va, pulling them within 17-13 but Glidden Ralston strecthed the lead to 26-17 on a pair of free throws by Bergmeier. Ar-We-Va fought back again, getting a bucket from Harley Molina, after a pair of free throws by Wyatt Ragaller. They trailed 26-21 at the end of the 1st half.
A pair of free throws by Charles Schon extended the Wildcats lead to 28-21 to open the 2nd half, then Jonathan Bergmeier scored in the lane and Lucas Christian pushed the lead to 12 with a three. Derek Thomsen brought some new energy for Ar-We-Va trying to penetrate the zone Glidden Ralston had come out in to start the 2nd half. He helped the Rockets get within 8 late in the 3rd but Glidden Ralston led by 10 after three quarters. Glidden Ralston took charge to start the 4th quarter and pulled away, leading 43-28 midway through the 4th quarter.
Jonathan Bergmeier paced the Wildcats with 22-points and 3 steals. Emmett Snyder added 9-points and 10 rebounds while Colby Wallace pulled down 10 rebounds with 5 assists. Charles Schon added 6-pionts and 6 rebounds.
Emmett Neumann added 11-points and 14 rebounds for the Rockets, Wyatt Ragaller finished with 8-points and 9 rebounds and Blayne Smith had 6-points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks.
The Wildcats moved to 4-4 on the season and 3-3 in the Rolling Valley Conference. Ar-We-Va falls to 3-4 overall and 2-4 in the Rolling Valley. The Wildcats host CAM on Tuesday while Ar-We-Va entertains Boyer Valley.

Paton Churdan stepped out of the Rolling Valley Conference on Monday, hosting Woodward Granger. The Rockets had six guys score with Phoenix Hartman and Trevon Keely both scored 7-points. They dropped their eighth game to start the season, falling to 0-8. Paton Churdan will be back in action on Tuesday, traveling to Exira-EHK.
