Cross Country Results Thursday, August 31

Coon Rapids-Bayard at Madrid

The Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders ran short-handed for the second straight time as they traveled to Madrid Thursday night. Ogden’s Carson Van Sickle took home first place with an overall time of 16:34. Clay Warson came in second, running a time of 16:48 for Madrid. Landon Cook ran the top time for the Crusaders as he finished 12 overall with an official time of 19:55. Jace Baker and Kellen Hillgenberg finished back to back in 49 and 50 place.

Ogden came first in the team standings and collected 36 team points. Madrid came in a close second with a total of 38 points. Perry came in third but was far behind first and second place with 75 team points. The CRB Crusaders did not place in the team standings due to only having three individuals run.

Audubon, East Sac County, and IKM-Manning at Logan-Magnolia 

East Sac County had three runs finish in the top five as they ran away with the team title at Logan-Magnolia on Thursday. For the IKM-Manning Wolves, Lane Sams ran the fasted time as he picked up a seventh-place finish. Eli Deist ran the fasted time for Audubon, finishing in 40 place. Parker Engel ran the fastest time for the ESC Raiders, coming in second. ESC took home the team title, finishing with a total of 44 points. St. Albert came in second, but it wasn’t close, as they finished with 80 points.

Parker Heisterkamp from St. Albert finished in first individually with a time of 15:23, which was over 20 seconds faster than the person in second. The Raiders had three runners finish in the top five: Parker Engel, Isaiah Aragon, and Landon Sporrer. Lan Sams ran the fast time for IKM-Manning, running a 16:50. Ryan Germer finished in 36 for the Wolves with a time of 19:10. Audubon only had two individuals compete in the boy competition, with Eli Deist finishing in 40, and Brody Shultes in 61.

Kuemper at West Central Valley

Kuemper took home first place in the team stands, with four individuals placing in the top ten and five in the top eleven on Thursday at West Central Valley. Ryan North ran the fastest time for the Knights, placing fourth overall with a time of 18:38. Jacon Greving came in fifth, Blake Molinsky in sixth, Dayton Wiederien eight and then Fletch Badding in eleventh. Michael McClelland from I-35 Truro ran the fasted time, finishing in 17:53, followed by Daniel Schoening of Ankey Christian in second.

Kuemper took home the team title, finishing with 45 total points. The Knights were followed by Ankeny Christian, who had 57 total points. Greene County came in third, and they finished with 67 points.
