IKM-Manning football wrapped up a great day for Wolves athletics with a come from behind win at St Albert. The Wolves boys and girls cross country teams had already qualified for State Cross Country earlier in the evening. A win at St Albert would be icing on the cake. It didn’t look good early as St Albert scored on a 13-play, 56-yard drive to open the game, taking a 7-0 lead. They went for an onside kick and recovered, setting themselves up with good field position. The Wolves defense may have saved the game, forcing the Falcons to boot a 31-yard field goal, extending the lead to 10-0. IKM-Manning finally got their offense on the field, driving 68-yards in 8 plays and scoring on a 3-yard run by Cooper Irlmeier. IKM-Manning pulled within 10-6 with 9:32 left in the half. They took the lead on their next drive, a 10 play, 67-yard drives, ending with a 1-yard touchdown run by Cooper Irlmeier. The Wolves were up 14-10 with 2:35 left in the half. it was nearly more but IKM-Manning fumbled at the Falcon 9-yard line with under a minute left in the half.

IKM-Manning got the ball to start the 2nd half, scoring quickly. Ben Langel rambled 62-yards for a touchdown, capping a 2 play drive, extending the Wolves led to 22-10. IKM-Manning sensed they had the momentum and attempted an onside kick. They recovered and the landslide began. The Wolves outscored St Albert 30-0 in the 3rd quarter, scoring 44 straight points, after falling behind 10-0. Cooper Irlmeier scored his third touchdown of the game, scoring on a 40-yard run on the second play after they recovered the onside kick. IKM-Manning led 28-10 with 10:47 left in the 3rd. They extended the lead on a 13-yard run by Ben Langel, ending a 10 play, 49-yard drive with 4:26 left in the 3rd quarter, putting the Wolves up 36-10. Ben Ramsey set up the next Wolves score, picking off a pass, returning it to the Falcons 9-yard line. Three plays later Hunter Smith scored from 4-yards out and IKM-Manning had blown the game wide open, leading 44-10 with 1:12 left in the 3rd quarter. St Albert responded with a 13 play, 65-yard drive, making it 44-17 with 7:07 left. Ben Langel had another answer for IKM-Manning, scoring on a 78-yard run for the final points of the game with 6:53 left.

IKM-Manning outgained St Albert 444 to 179. Ben Langel led the attack with 13 carries for 241-yards and 3 touchdowns. Cooper Irlmeier added 53-yards on 15 carries with 3 touchdowns. Hunter Smith had 3 carries, 21 yards and a touchdown. Ross Kusel was 4-5 passing for 122-yards. Eli Dreyer had 2 catches for 45-yards. Nolan Kerkhoff had a team high 14 tackles, Trey Jasa added 13 tackles, Ben Ramsey and Cooper Perdew each had 9 tackles.

The Wolves finish the season 2-7.
