Carroll fell at top ranked Gilbert on Monday in a makeup game from earlier this season. Carroll was outshot 19-1, giving up 4 goals in each half. Gilbert struck with 34:40 left in the 1st half on a goal by Dylan Terry. Tyler Holtan added three goals with a pair of them between the 31:38 and 25:43 mark as Gilbert went up 3-0. His final goal of the half came with 5:09 left. Gilbert scored three goals in the first 16:40 of the 2nd half to put the game out of reach. Carroll played well when the ball was in the middle third of the field but Gilbert was able to find seems inside the box.
Chase Ragaller had the lone shot on goal for Carroll and Tanner Heithoff had 11 saves.
Carroll falls to 3-8 and will host North Polk on Tuesday.
