The IKM-Manning Wolves had a tough time stopping the running game of Tri-Center Friday night.
Tri-Center’s Michael Turner was the heartbeat of their offense and was responsible for four of their rushing touchdowns and also had a passing touchdown. He would amass 360 rushing yards. The battle in the trenches was won by the Tri-Center offensive and defensive line who kept IKM-Manning away from the end zone in the first half and gave their running back time to get through the gaps. IKM-Manning came into the second half with some nice defensive stops that forced two punts from Tri-Center and no scores. Nolan Kerkhoff was one of those leaders in the trenches with 6.5 total tackles. Cooper Irlmeier was also a strong defensive force who didn’t give up on any plays, coming away with eight total tackles, seven of those were solo tackles. The Trojans came away with a 44-0 win over the Wolves.
IKM-Manning is on the road again in week six when they take on LoMa Friday night.
