Boys Golf Results Thursday, April 21st
Carroll and Kuemper At Spencer Tournament
Kuemper and Carroll each had a golfer finish in the top 10 as they end the day in 4th and 5th place respectively as teams. The Knights finished 4th with a 331 and Carroll was 5th with a 334. Both teams were in the hunt to finish as high as 3rd, with Webster City claiming the spot with a 329. Spencer won their tournament, shooting a 317 to beat Clear Lake by 7 shots.
Kuemper had all four of their top four scorers in the 80’s while Carroll had Drew Munson in the low 70’s, two guys in the 80’s and their final scorer in the 90’s. Munson was fantastic all day, shooting a 37 on the front 9 and a 37 on the back nine. He finished the day with 11 par’s and 2 birdies to finish in 2nd place and two shots over par. Ryan Schiltz of ELC was the champion, going 1 under par with a 71. Kayden Schon led the Knights with a 80, finishing in 8th place. Maverick Schwabe and Tyler Auen each shot an 83 for the Knights and Carter Putney had an 85. Bryce Berlau shot 83 for Carroll, Conner Kirsch added an 84 and Braeden Kirsch fired a 93.
Carroll Boys host Winterset and Bondurant Farrar at the Country Club on Friday. Kuemper goes to the Panorama tournament on Saturday.

Audubon fell on the road on Thursday shooting a 184 as a team, twelves strokes behind Missouri Valley. The Wheelers has three golfers finish in the 40’s with Jay Remsburg earning runner-up medalist honors with a 42. Jackson Tennis of Missouri Valley was the medalist with a 35.
Remsburg led the Wheelers with a 42, followed by Oliver Deist with a 44 from the five spot and Edward Miller with a 46. Evan Alt was the final scorer in the Wheelers top four, shooting a 52.
The Wheelers head to Panorama on Saturday for tournament play.

East Sac only had two golfers shoot in the varsity match and didn’t have a team score against Pocahontas Area at Sac City on Thursday. The Indians finished with a 195 and earned both the medalist and runner-up medalist honors with Caleb Freeburg shooting a 44 and Cavin Henrickson also shooting a 44.
Bradyn Burns paced the Raiders with a 54 and Carter Hogrefe shot a 57.
The Raiders will host SE Valley on Monday.

South Central Calhoun At West Bend Mallard

West Bend Mallard 211
South Central Calhoun won medalist and runner-up medalist honors Thursday in West Bend as the Titans picked up a nice win by 21 strokes. They shot a 190 with two scores in the 40’s and two more in the 50’s while West Bend Mallard had all four of their scores in the 50’s.
Justin Hanks was the medalist with a 40. He finished the day with three par’s and a birdie. Hanks fire a birdie on number 6 while hitting par on holes 1, 4 and 9. Bryan Steig was also solid with a 42, earning runner-up medalist. Steig also had three par’s and a birdie. His birdie came on hole 6 while he shot par on holes 2, 5 and 7. Kadynn Isaacs and Kaden Dorman each shot 54 for South Central Calhoun.
The Titans host Pocahontas Area on Monday.
