Girls State Golf Results Thursday, May 26th
Kylie Powers of IKM-Manning and Addy Boell of Glidden Ralston At American Legion Golf Course in Marshalltown- Class 1A
Kylie Powers of IKM-Manning is tied for 5th place after day 1 of the State Golf Tournament and Addy Boell of Glidden Ralston tied for 26th place. Powers finished her 1st round with an 83, shooting 45-38. Boell finished with a 96, shooting 47-49. Greenlee Smock of Lynnville-Sully is the leader after day 1, shooting a 75. She has a 6 shot lead on Madalynn Hornback of Sigourney. Annie Burns of Bishop Garrigan and Taylor Phillips of New London are tied for 3rd with 82’s.
Powers had a birdie on hole 5 on the front 9, then shot par on 6 holes on the back 9. She pared 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 17. Boell shot par on holes 3 and 9 on the front 9 and picked up a par on holes 11 and 16 on the back 9. Kylie Powers is currently tied with Abbie Lindeman of Grundy Center while Boell is tied with Mariah Greleman of Central Lyon, Taryn Wilken of Arkon Westfield and Alex Poppen of West Branch.
