Kuemper was edged in their first meet of the year, falling by one stroke at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club. The Knights shot very well for their first time outside on a course this season. Kuemper had two players in the 30′ s and all six golfers shoot 47 or better. Maverick Schwabe finished as runner-up medalist with a 37. Roth DenBeste of Atlantic earned medalist honors with a 36. Benicio Lujano added a 39 while Carter Putney shot a 41 and Dawson Billmeier and Kayden Schon both shot 44.
The Knights will host Panorama and Webster City at the Carroll Country Club on Friday, April 14th.

South Central Calhoun picks up a win at Sac City on Tuesday as the Titans shot a strong 161 while East Sac had only three golfers and weren’t able to post a team score with a minimum of four scores needed. The Titans had two golfers in the 30’s and five in the 40’s. East Sac had two in the 40’s. Justin Hanks of South Central Calhoun was the medalist with a 36, edging his teammate Charlie Nattress with a 38 who earned runner-up medalist. Caleb Gaffney added a 40 for the Titans while Bryan Steig and Nik Whipkey both shot 47. Carter Hogrefe led the Raiders with a 40, Brady Burns added a 44 and Carter Erritt finished with a 57.
The Titans take on SE Valley, GTRA and Emmetsburg on Monday at Oak Park Golf while East Sac hosts Alta-Aurelia, Storm Lake St Mary’s and Manson NW Webster on Monday.

Audubon golfed well at Treynor with three golfers in the 40’s and earning a runner-up medalist honor. Treynor finished with one golfer in the 30’s and all six of their golfers in the 40’s. Ethan Konz led all golfers with a 37 to earn medalist while Evan Alt shot a 42 for the Wheelers, earning runner-up medalist. Oliver Deist, shooting in the sixth slot finished with a 45 for the Wheelers, followed by Jay Remsburg with a 49 and Collin Bauer with a 51.
The Wheelers open the season 0-1 and will host Tri Center on Thursday.
