Boys Track Results For Thursday, May 2nd

Kuemper at Hawkeye Ten Conference Meet

The Kuemper Knights competed at the Hawkeye Ten Conference meet on Thursday, with two events picking and capturing a conference title. Both events were field events. Evan Adams finished in first place in the discus with a throw of 154-09. Ben Gerek won the high jump with a jump of 6-03. Gerken finished in second in the long jump, clearing 20-00.50. The Kuemper 4×800 team finished fifth. Thomas Pottebaum, Ryan Sundrup, Wyatt Wunschel, Jacob Greving ran a time of 8:46.86. As a team, Kuemper finished with 43 points, which was good for eighth in the team standings. The Knights are back in action next Thursday at the district meet in Treynor.

East Sac County and South Central Calhoun at Twin Lakes Conference Meet

South Central Calhoun and East Sac County competed at the Twin Lakes Conference meet on Thursday, with five events taking home a conference championship. Brock Nattrass ran a great conference meet for the Titans, finishing in first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.35. Nattress also finished in third in the 100 and second in the 0pen 400. Parker Engel also had a fantastic meet as he took home a championship in the 1600 and 3200-meter run. Engal ran a time of 4:46.49 in the 1600 and 10:12.22 in the 3200. The other first-place finish was the East Sac County sprint medley team. Landon Grindle, Caleb Eichhorn, Logan Schroeder, and Asher Lawler ran a time of 1:40.33. As a team, South Central Calhoun finished fourth with a score of 86, while East Sac County was seventh with 68 points.
