Landon Pottebaum took 3rd place for Kuemper in #2 singles, going 2-1 in matches and 4-2 in sets. Pottebaum opened the tournament with a straight set win over Damion Meyer of Creston. He didn’t drop a game, winning both sets 6-0. He matched up with Brody Taylor of Glenwood in the semifinals, falling 6-3, 6-1, advancing into the 3rd place match. Pottebaum knocked off Rhett Harter of Nevada, winning 6-3, 6-1. Landon took 3rd, going 28-16 in games played.
Abraham Janssen and Luke Schulte competed in the #2 Doubles, going 0-3 in matches and 0-6 in sets. They finished 19-38 in games played but competed well. The dropped two sets 7-5, including the first set in the 1st round. They lost 6-4, 7-5 in the 2nd round.
The Knights host Sioux City North on Monday.
