Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Three Area Boys Golf Teams Were in Tournaments on Saturday

Boys Golf Results Saturday, April 13th 

Boyer Valley, AC/GC and Underwood At IKM-Manning Tournament 

IKM-Manning had a strong day, taking 2nd place at their tournament on Saturday on a sunny, warm but windy day. Most of the Wolves felt they played better on the back nine after adjusting to the wind and tweaking their approaches. Josh Walker led IKM-Manning, finishing in 5th place with a 96. That helped IKM-Manning shot a 401 with all four of their scores under 104. Boyer Valley had a very strong day with three players shooting under 97, taking 1st place with a 376. They had two players in the top 5. Danny Stein of Underwood was Medalist, shooting a 83 with Tristen Burkhart of Boyer Valley Runner-Up Medalist with an 87. Tegan Slaybaugh of AC/GC also shot a 87 and finished 3rd. Michael Davis of Boyer Valley took 4th with a 91. Kasche Huehn and Karsyn Lorenzen of IKM-Manning both shot a 101 with Miles Nuzback adding a 103.

The Wolves travel to AHSTW on Monday.

Coon Rapids Bayard and South Central Calhoun At Greene County Tournament

The Rams hosted a unique tournament on Saturday where they played 9 holes at the Jefferson Community Course and 9 holes at The Hills Golf Course. Coon Rapids Bayard had a nice bounce back day after a tough tournament earlier in the week. They had all six golfers shoot well with Gavin Heiderschiet leading them with a 5th place finish. He shot an 83 as the Crusaders finished 2nd as a team with a 342, edging Greene County on the 5th player scorecard. Roland Story took home the team championship with a 333. South Central Calhoun got a strong round from Caleb Gaffney and had three players shoot under 98. They ended the day with a 374, taking 7th place.

Jack Hansen of Greene County earned Medalist honors with a 78. He was followed by Henry Lane of Grand View Christian and Braylen Loots of Roland Story both shooting an 81. Nels Hanson of Roland Story added an 82. Logan Kenyon of Coon Rapids Bayard shot an 85, Max Shirbroun of the Crusaders finished with an 86 and Toby Benninger had an 88. Caleb Juhl of South Central Calhoun had a 93 and Carter Hawkins shot a 97 and Noah Hendricks finished with a 100.

The Crusaders head to Woodbine on Monday for a Rolling Valley Conference Meet and South Central Calhoun hosts Pocahontas Area on Monday, April 22nd.
