Audubon was dominant in picking up their first win of the season this year, taking five of the six singles matches and sweeping through doubles with three wins. The Wheelers didn’t struggle much in their wins, moving well and being aggressive. They went 44-17 in singles and were 24-4 in doubles. Sawyer Toft put it all together, winning his singles match 8-0. Carson Matthews earned his second straight singles win, Matthews and Isaac Jackson both won 8-1. Lincoln Sorter won his singles match 8-3 and Zack Schmidt clinched the team win with an 8-4 win. Audubon didn’t let up in doubles with Carson Matthews and Lincoln Sorter winning 8-1, as did Zack Schmidt and Evan Joens. Isaac Jackson and Sawyer Toft added an 8-2 win.

The Wheelers take some momentum into the weekend as they prepare to host Southwest Valley on Thursday.

Zack Schmidt of Audubon won 8-4 over Teagan Bissen of Harlan 

Dale Schwery of Harlan won 8-4 over Evan Joens of Audubon

 

Doubles
