The Carroll Tigers picked up their second win of the year, a shutout win over Logan-Magnolia at home. The first half was defensive. Chase Ragaller scored the only goal in the first half for the Tigers at the 1:28 mark. Carroll took a 1-0 lead at the half. Jameson Polking was a game-changer in the second half as he scored Carroll’s second goal of the night with just over 23 minutes left in the game. Polking continued his great play as a free kick off Polkings foot went off of a Logan-Magnolia player and went into goal to give Carroll a 3-0 lead. With over three minutes left in the match, Landon Petersen scored on a penalty kick to extend the Tiger’s lead to 4-0. Carroll would not score the rest of the match and went on to win 4-0. With the win Carroll moves to 2-2 on the season. Carroll is back in action on Thursday against Ballard.

The Kuemper Knights pick up back-to-back wins with a 5-1 victory over Panorama on Friday night. Carson Kanne has been hot to start the season for the Knights, as he picked up three goals in the win. Kanne got the scoring going just over halfway through the first half to make the score 1-0. The Knights would take a 1-0 lead going into the half. Kuemper controlled the ball offensively in the second half. Charlie Mayhall scored quickly for the Knights in the second half with just over 35 minutes left in the game. Kanne picked up two more goals in the second half, and Kuemper would continue to extend their lead. The Knights would take a 4-1 lead late in the game. With just under three minutes left in the match, Mayhall scored his second goal of the game as Kuemper would go on to win 5-1. With the win Kuemper improves to 2-1 on the season. The Knights are back in action against Harlan on Monday.
