Girls Track Results Thursday, April 4th 

Kuemper At Harlan

Kuemper was light on numbers on Thursday with part of the team competing in other sporting events or activities but still had a strong showing with three top 3 finishes in individual events, one more top 5 and two relays finishing in the top 5. The Knights scored 41-points, finishing in 7th place.

Morgan Masching had a strong night for Kuemper, taking 3rd in both the 100 Meters and Long Jump. Ellie Sibbel finished 3rd in the Shot Put and Kerrigan Irlbeck was 4th in the 200 Meters. Irlbeck was part of the Distance Medley that finished in 4th along with Chloe Gehling, Madie Domer and Charlotte Hackfort. The Knights were 5th in the 4×400 with Madie Domer, Addie Davis, Kamryn Wendl and Charlotte Hackfort.

The Knights will run at Carroll High on Monday.

Carroll At Nevada 

Carroll had five championships with three individuals capturing crowns and two relays claiming titles as well. That propelled the Tigers into 4th place with 81-points. They finished in the top 3 in six individual events and had one more event in the top 5. Along with winning two relays, the Tigers had another relay finish in the top 5. North Polk won the meet with Roland Story and Forest City taking 2nd and 3rd. All three teams scored over 100-points.

Marie Dea had an outstanding meet for Carroll, winning the 800 Meters in 2:17.76 and helping the Sprint Medley (1;53.75) and the 4×400 (4:13.55) win titles. Joining her in the Sprint Medley was Autumn Fortner, Libby Perkis and Marasyn Wittrock. Wittrock was also part of the 4×400 with Katelyn Aden and Averi Burke. Olivia Rowedder won the Discus for the Tigers with a 101-06 and Emma Kuhlmann captured the Shot Put with a 37-04.75.

Averi Burke added a 2nd place in the 400 Meters, Chloe Kock was 3rd in the Discus and Olivia Rowedder took 4th in the Shot Put.

The Tigers will host a meet on Monday.

East Sac At Cherokee 

East Sac had three events place in the top 8 with a 4th and 7th place relay and one individual event finishing 7th. They finished with 9-points, taking 12th place. Olivya Mack was their top individual finish, taking 7th in the 400 Hurdles. She was also part of the 4th place Shuttle Hurdle with Madison Meister, Tori Hutchinson and Haley Jo King.  Emma Meredith, Katelyn Schmitt, Tori Hauser and Libbie Veit teamed up to finish 7th in the Distance Medley.

The Raiders are back in action on Thursday at Manson NW Webster.

Audubon At AHSTW 

Harlee Fahn led a balanced Audubon team on Thursday in Avoca with a championship in the Shot Put. The Wheelers had four individual events place in the top 3 along with three relays in the top 3 and one more in the top 5. They finished 6th in the team standings with 60.50-points, not far behind 5th place Southwest Valley, who scored 69-points.

Harlee Fahn was the only Wheelers champion, winning the Shot Put with a 33-09.00. Michelle Wilson took 2nd in the 1500 Meters and Jaelynn Petersen continues her strong start to the season with a 2nd place in the High  Jump. Taryn Petersen added a 3rd place in the 200 Meters. The Wheelers were 3rd in three relays including the 4×800 with Michelle Wilson, Riley Miller, Maya King and Marie Brand, the Sprint Medley with Ashlyn Pruitt, Michelle Brooks, Jaelynn Petersen and Kadence Brannan-Sporrer and the Distance Medley with Michelle Brooks, Anna Larsen, Taryn Petersen and Kadence Brannan-Sporrer.

The Wheelers head to Carroll on Monday.
