Boys Golf Results For Thursday, April 4th

East Sac County and Glidden-Ralston at South Central Calhoun

East Sac County, Glidden-Ralston, and South Central Calhoun opened their season in Lake City on Thursday. South Central Calhoun captured the team title by a wide margin. The Titans finished with a team score of 178. Second was East Sac County, with 194, followed by Glidden-Ralston, with a score of 240. Caleb Gaffney of SCC shot one under, finishing with a round of 35. Gaffney’s 35 was good enough for the overall medalist. Bradyn Burns of ESC was the runner-up, shooting 43. The top overall score for Glidden-Ralston was from Freshman Jackson Whitaker, who shot a 56. Charlie Nattress was second on the Titans, shooting a 44. Jack Gullett shot a 49, which was second on the Raiders team. Carson Peters was second on the Wildcats, shooting a 60. East Sac County and South Central Calhoun are back in action on Monday. The Titans will host a quad with GTRA, Southeast Valley, and Emmetsburg. The Raiders will travel to a quad in Alta-Aurelia.

Coon Rapids-Bayard at Ogden Quad

The Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders opened the season with a second-place finish at Ogden. Ogden and CRB finished with 169 as a team score, but Ogden received the tiebreaker because they had a fifth scorecard, 44-47. The Crusaders did not have a medalist on Thursday, but all six players shot very consistently. Logan Kenyon shot a 41 for the Crusaders to lead the team. Max Shirbroun and Gavin Heiderscheit both shot a 42 for CRB. Matthew Samuelson of Ogden was the overall medalist, shooting a 39. Boones Mexwell Roefls was the runner-up, finishing with a 40. The Crusaders are back in action on Thursday at Jester Park.
