Kuemper Catholic Vs Carroll High At Country Club

Kuemper picked up a hard fought win on a windy but sunny day at the Carroll Country Club. Both teams struggled with the gusty winds as they both haven’t had many days on the golf course and were both in their first meet of the season. The Knights earned the team win with two girls shooting in the 40’s and their other two scores in the low to mid 50’s. The Tigers had one player in the 40’s, two in the 50’s and their final score in the low 60’s.
Grace Tigges of Kuemper earned Medalist, shooting a 45 with a terrific 25-foot put on number 15. She edged Elsa Tiefenthaler of Kuemper, who shot a solid 47 and finished as Runner-Up Medalist. Addy Beiter with a 53 and Ella Pick with a 57 were the Knights other two scores. Delaney Schurke paced the Tigers with a strong 49. She says she played better as the round went on. Amelia Henson had a par in her round, finishing with a 54 while Ella Perry added a 58 and Emma Hoffman a 62 for the Tigers.
Kuemper heads to Majestic Hills on Monday against Denison Schleswig and Atlantic while Carroll High hosts Greene County in Breda on Tuesday.

East Sac won the team race with Sidney Bieret earning Runner-Up Medalist while Addy Boell of Glidden Ralston earned another Medalist honor while the Wildcats finished in 3rd. The Raiders shot a 226 with three golfers in the 50’s, led by Bieret. South Central Calhoun took 2nd place, shooting a 239 with Adlen Wheelock pacing them with a 56. The Titans other three scores on their scorecard shot in the low 60’s. Glidden Ralston finished with a 272 with Boell shooting a 50 and one other golfer in the 60’s.
Addy Boell of Glidden Ralston was the Medalist with a 50 while Sidney Bieret of East Sac was Runner-Up Medalist finished with a 52. Other top scores were Makenna Steiger of East Sac with a 54, Adlen Wheelock of South Central Calhoun with a 56, Elizabeth Lloyd of Glidden Ralston and Mia Babcock of South Central Calhoun both shot 60.
The Titans head to Hillcrest Golf and Country Club on Monday, East Sac is at Lake Creek Country Club on Monday and Glidden Ralston will be at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club on Monday.
