Kuemper had an outstanding night shooting the basketball, allowing them to roll past a strong St Albert team, winning the game by 50-points. They hit 15-30 from beyond the arc and shot 36-61 from the field all-together. The Knights scored 22 or more points in all four quarters, including a 31-point 2nd quarter. The defense was just as strong, with 22 steals, helping them hold The Falcons to 11-points in each of the final three quarters. Kuemper led 22-18 at the end of the 1st quarter but blew the game open in the 2nd quarter, extending the lead to 53-29 at half. The Knights finished with only 8 turnovers and had 26 assists.
Brock Badding led five players in double figures with 23-points, Michael Kasperbauer added 19-points and 7 assists, Carson Kanne had 16-points and 4 steals, Tregan Beiter added 11-points and 6 steals and Griffin Glynn, a freshman scored 12-points off the bench.
Kuemper won their 7th straight, improving to 7-1 overall and will head to Kingsley Pierson on Friday on KIKD 106.7.

Carroll’s rally in the 4th quarter fell short as they weren’t able to recover from the a 41-18 halftime deficit. The Tigers offense came on in the 3rd quarter, then exploded for 29-points in the 4th quarter. The 1st half was the issue for a second straight game, as Carroll fell down 29-9 at the end of the 1st quarter. The defense picked up in the 2nd quarter, holding the Bluejays to 12-points.
Evan Hammer paced Carroll with 21-points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds, Stone Sibenaller added 10-points and 4 steals. Payton Wardell had 12-points and Carter Essick finished with 6-points.
The loss drops Carroll to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in the Raccoon River Conference. The Tigers are off until January 2nd when they host Boone.

Woodbine outscored Coon Rapids Bayard 30-15 from beyond the arc, including a pair of early three’s that gave them the lead for good. The Crusaders struggled on offense against a athletic, long defense that took away jump shots and controlled the boards. The Tigers shot it well, hitting ten shots from beyond the arc, with most coming in key moments of the game. Woodbine did a nice jog, getting open looks from deep on the break early as they built a 18-8 lead at the end of the 1st quarter and went up 27-14 in the 2nd quarter. Coon Rapids Bayard kept battling back but Woodbine answered each of their runs and pulled away in the final few minutes to give Coon Rapids Bayard their first loss of the season.
Caden Oswald tied the game at 2 and Cal Heydon put the Crusaders up 4-2 in the 1st quarter. Carson Kelley hit back-to-back threes and Woodbine was off and running. They went up 13-6, then 15-6 and 18-6 before Cal Heydon made it a 18-8 at the end of the 1st quarter. Parker Hays hit a three early in the 2nd quarter, pulling the Crusaders within 22-14 but Woodbine scored five straight to gain their biggest lead of the half at 27-14. A Cal Heydon free throw and bucket by Gavin Heiderscheit cut the deficit to 29-19 at half.
Cal Heydon took over early in the 3rd scoring five in a row to pull the Crusaders to 31-24 but Woodbine answered with a 8-0 run, grabbing their largest lead of 39-24. Heydon scored again inside and Bryce Lewis drained a wing three and Coon Rapids Bayard pulled within 39-29 at the end of the 3rd. Another 5-0 run by Woodbine blew the game open early in the 4th quarter and Coon Rapids Bayard didn’t recover. Woodbine led by double digits the rest of the game.
Cal Heydon had a strong game inside, finishing with 25-points and 12 rebounds. Caden Oswald added 5-points. Parker Hays had 6 assists.
The loss drops the Crusaders to 8-1 on the season and 6-1 in the Rolling Valley Conference. They are off until January 4th when they take on IKM-Manning.

The Titans had another outstanding defensive game, that was bolstered by a huge 1st half on offense. They shot 51.1% from the field and pulled down 38 rebounds with 9 on the offensive end. Keegan Soard was outstanding inside, helping the Titans build a 28-13 lead at the end of the 1st quarter. They blew the game open in the 2nd quarter, leading 50-17 by half.
Keegan Soard was nearly perfect on Tuesday, going 10-10 from the field and 4-6 from the free throw line as he scored a team high 24-points while pulling down 14 rebounds. Gavin Batta added 18-points and Cole Higgins finished with 13-points. Bryce Berquist had a strong night on the glass with 8 rebounds while Gavin Batta dished out 5 assists.
The win, their fifth straight moves them to 5-3 overall. They host OABCIG on Thursday.

Karter Ludwig and Sam Julin hit early 3’s and East Sac was off and running as they remained undefeated on the season. The early 3’s allowed Luke Wright and Ryan Clair to control the offensive glass as the defense had to worry about the outside shot. The defense was sharp all night, contesting shots all game, holding SE Valley to single digits in the 1st and 4th quarters. The Raiders built a 22-2 lead at the end of the 1st quarter, extending it to 44-16 by half. They continue to shoot the ball well outside, hitting 7-16 from beyond the arc and 28-54 from the field for the game.
Three Raiders finished in double figures with Ryan Clair pacing them with 21-points. Caleb Eichorn and Sam Julin both had 11-points. Clair had a team high 15 rebounds with Luke Wright adding 13 rebounds with 8-points.
The Raiders improved to 7-0 overall and remain in 1st place in the Twin Lakes Conference. The Raiders are off until January 5th at Emmetsburg.

Audubon won for the third time in their last four games, using a strong 2nd half on defense to pull away for a 51-33 win. The Wheelers led 23-21 at half but broke the game open in the 3rd quarter, outscoring the Panthers 15-8. The defensive intensity picked up in the 4th quarter, holding the Panthers to 4-points. Audubon poured in 28-points in the 2nd half, scoring 13-points in the 4th quarter to salt the game away.
Aaron Olsen led a balanced attack with 15-points, Edward Miller added 11-points while Austin Christensen had 8-points and Brody Schultes with 6-points.
The Wheelers sit 4-5 on the season and 1-4 in the Western Iowa Conference. They host Atlantic on Thursday on KIKD 106.7.

Ar-We-Va picked up a nice bounce back win after struggling in the 1st quarter, finding themselves down 14-6. The Rockets rallied with a 22-point 2nd quarter while holding Boyer Valley to 5-points. The Rockets kept the pressure on in the 3rd quarter, extending their lead to 51-32 heading to the 4th quarter. The win snaps a two game skid and gives them a boost as they wind down a busy week and stretch, playing three games this week and five games in a eight day stretch.
Blayne Smith had a huge night with 29-points with 12 rebounds and 3 blocks. Emmett Neumann had 10-points with 8 rebounds and 3 steals and Wyatt Ragaller had 9-points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Wade Ragaller had 3 steals.

Both offenses struggled early but Glidden Ralston worked their way to a 5-0 lead midway through the 1st quarter. Lucas Christian closed out the quarter with a pair of 3’s, helping the Wildcats lead 11-7 at the end of the quarter. The 3’s kept falling for Glidden Ralston with Jonathan Bergmeier knocking down a pair of them and Colby Wallace added one. They hit four over, helping to stretch the lead to 27-19 at half. The defense was doing a nice job of forcing jump shots as they gave the Cougars a different look.
CAM made a run in the 3rd quarter, pulling within 3 but Jonathan Bergmeier hit a clutch 3 to give them a 34-28 lead heading to the 4th quarter. The Cougars opened the 4th with a run, taking a lead for a moment as the game went back and forth. The Wildcats went back up for good with Charles Schon finding Jonathan Bergmeier for a layup for a 40-38 lead with a 1:30 left in the game. A Colby Wallace free throw made it a 3-point game. CAM tied the game with a 3 with 0:50 left. That set up a game winner for Jonathan Bergmeier. He knocked down a fade away jumper at the end of the shot clock, giving them a 44-41 lead. The Wildcats defense made a stop of the final possession to hold on for the win.

Missouri Valley opened up 1st quarter, building a 16-10 lead but the Wolves pulled within 16-13 at the end of the quarter. The bucket near the end of the quarter sparked the Wolves in the 2nd quarter as they went on a 13-3 run to take a 26-19 lead. They held a 33-28 lead at half. The Wolves slowly edged away in the 2nd half, building a 59-40 at the end of the 3rd quarter, then pulled away in the 4th quarter.
IKM-Manning had three players in double figures with Ben Ramsey with 26-points, Ross Kusel added 20-points and Lane Sams was huge with 20-points and 10 rebounds. Ross Kussel had 6 assists with Justin Segebart had 4 assists. Justin Segebart had 3 steals and Miles Nuzback added 6 rebounds.
The win improves the Wolves to 3-5 overall and 2-4 in the Western Iowa Conference. They head to LoMa on Thursday on 93.7 KKRL.
