Area Girls Wrestling Results For Monday, December 11th
Carroll at Saydel Tournament
The Carroll Tigers had three girls place second, and one came in first as they finished second at the Saydel Tournament Monday night. Julia Kanne finished in second place at 110, scoring 22 team points. Kanne received a bye in the first round and then won by fall and medical forfeit before losing in the championship match. Brianna Kiger and Emma Daniels were the other second-place finishers for Carroll. Daniels received two byes for winning by fall in the semifinal math and then went on to lose in the championship. For Kiger, she received a first-round bye, then won via pin and a decision before dropping the first-place match. The lone Tiger to come in first place was Averi Burke as she continues her fantastic start to the season. Burke received a first-round bye and then won by decision and tech-fall to get to the first-place match. In the championship match, Burke won by a 5-0 decision and scored 23 team points for the Tigers.
Sunny McGowan finished in third place for Carroll at 105 pounds. Kloee Jones and Emma Grossman each finished in fifth place for the Tigers. Carroll scored a total of 130.5 points to finish in second place behind Des Moines Public Schools, which finished with 145 points.

East Sac County and South Central Calhoun at Humbolt Tournament
The South Central Calhoun Titans and the East Sac County Raiders competed in Humbolt Monday, with SCC finishing in second place and ESC coming in seventh. The Raiders had one girl finish in second and another in third Monday night. The Titans came away with two individuals in first place and another four in second place. At 105, Olivya Mack finished in third place for ESC, while Chloe Parks of SCC finished in first. Evelyn Kramer finished in first place at 110, winning both of her matches by pin.
