Carroll closed out the season with the type of the performance that Head Coach Craig Rowedder thought he would see all season. The Tigers dominated every aspect of the game from the start. Coach Rowedder chose to take the ball first and Carroll made it a great decision. Carroll got the ball at their 35-yard line and pounded it right at the Nighthawks, using their run game to drive 65-yards in 8-plays. Chase Ragaller was a huge part of the drive, running for about 45-yards on the drive. He capped it with a 25-yard touchdown run. The Tigers converted a 2-point conversion and led 8-0 with 8:29 left in the 1st quarter. The defense forced a turnover 0n downs in four plays, getting the ball right back to the offense. Carroll struck quickly, using the running game to set up a flair to Chase Ragaller out of the backfield. He scored on a 35-yard catch and run and Carroll was up 15-0 with 5:55 left in the 1st quarter. Carroll had run 12-plays on offense on their first-two drives. Boyden Hull/Rock Valley turned it over on downs on their next possession, giving Carroll the ball at their own 24-yard line. The Nightshawks had a big play, getting into Carroll territory on their first play, but wasn’t able to capitalize. This was the worst field position for the Tigers to start a drive but that didn’t hurt them. They marched down the field, scoring in 8-plays on a 3-yard run by Chase Ragaller. Carroll was up 22-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.
The Nighthawks went three and out late in the 1st quarter, into the 2nd quarter and punted, giving Carroll the ball back with 11:18 left in the 1st half. Carroll went on an 11-play drive with Chase Ragaller scoring his third rushing touchdown of the game. This time he ran in from 4-yards and Carroll led 29-0 with 6:46 left in the half. Carroll was doing a great job against the Nighthawks passing attack. They had contained Blake Moser, holding him to 2 catches in the 1st half. They were able to have help over the top and got help underneath, when the Nighthawks looked to throw deep. Carroll forced another turn over on downs and capitalized again. Carroll took over at the Boyden Hull/Rock Valley 45-yard line and scored on a 40-yard pass from Carter Essick to Payton Wardell. Carroll was up 36-0 with 2:57 left in the half. Carroll nearly scored before the end of the half. Jared Mohr came up with an interception and Carroll had 0:16 to work with. They got in position for a 37-yard field attempt from Kieran Polking. He had the distance, but missed wide right.
Neither team was able to score in the 2nd half as the continuous clock kept the possessions limited. Carroll turned it over on downs, fumbled and ran out the game clock on their three possessions while Boyden Hull/Rock Valley turned it over on downs, fumbled and punted on their three possessions.
Chase Ragaller had a huge night for the Tigers with 149-yards rushing along with 3 rushing touchdowns. He added a pair of catches for 66-yards with a touchdown. Carter Essick did a nice job taking the short route, going 9-11 for 166-yards and a pair of touchdown passes. Payton Wardell had 2 catches for 54-yards and a touchdown. Quinten Polking led the Tigers defense with 6 tackles, with 4 of those solo. He added an interception on defense. Keiran Polking went 4-4 on field goals.
Carroll finished the season with 3 wins at home and a 3-6 record overall.
