Audubon scored on their first-two drives and slowly pulled away as the defense shut the door on the Bulldogs after an early touchdown. The Wheelers defense held the Bulldogs to 157-yards of offense and 3.8-yards per carry. Boyer Valley punted five times with one blocked and turned it over on downs twice. The Wheelers were able to establish the running game, picking up 228-yards on 40-carries for 5.7-yards per carry. They added a touchdown pass, going 8-13 through the air for 70-yards. Audubon scored on three of their first-four possessions and four of their first-six.

Audubon defense got a stop to open the game, getting the ball for their offense which took advantage. The Wheelers marched from their own 21-yard line, scoring on a 2-yard run by Carson Wessel. They added a 2-point conversion and led 8-0 with 6:33 left in the 1st quarter. Boyer Valley struck on the ensuing kickoff, taking it for a 67-yard touchdown. Their conversion failed and Audubon held a 8-6 lead. The Wheelers worked their way down the field, highlighted with a 20-yard run by Evan Alt. Carson Wessel scored on a 1-yard run and the Wheelers led 16-6 late in the 1st quarter. Both teams came up with stops, then Audubon struck again with Carson Wessel running it in from 22-yards out. The Wheelers extended the lead to 22-6 with 4:11 left in the half.

The late 1st half touchdown was huge as the Wheelers got the ball to start the 2nd half. They started at their own 31-yard line. The Wheelers struck quickly. Evan Alt ran for 11-yards, three plays later Aaron Olsen hit Ezekiel Konkler for a 22-yard touchdown and the Wheelers went up 30-6 with 9:51 left in the 3rd quarter. The Audubon defense forced a punt and turnover on downs on Boyer Valley next two possessions while the Wheelers turned it over on downs, punted and turned it over on downs on their last three drives.

Carson Wessel only had 10 carries but 3 went for touchdowns. Aaron Olsen had 77-yards rushing while throwing for 70-yards and a touchdown. Evan Alt added 106-yards on the ground and Ezekiel Konkler had a 22-yard touchdown catch. Konkler added 6 tackles as did Gabe Jensen. Austin Christensen was a force on defense, racking up 15 tackles with 9 of them solo.

The Wheelers improve to 8-1 on the season and will host Lenox on 93.7 KKRL on Friday.
