East Sac found a way to win on Friday, clinching 4th place in the district and a playoff spot. The Raiders defense was sharp again and the offense hit a couple of touchdown passes to win a low scoring game. East Sac scored enough points in the 1st quarter to win the game, but added a touchdown in the 2nd quarter and then pitched a shut-out in the 2nd half. The Raiders defense, which has caused turnovers all season, got two on the Rebels first-three possessions and the offense was able to turn both into touchdowns. Kade Sndyer recovered a fumble, setting up the Raiders first score and Carson Schmitt made an interception on the Rebels next drive, setting up the Raiders second score.

Kade Sndyer set up the Raiders first score, recovering a Rebel fumble at the Raiders 39-yard line. East Sac had turned it over on downs and punted on their first-two drives, but this was the spark they needed. Tate Lahr ran for 14-yards on the 1st play of the drive, then scampered for 22-yards a couple plays later. He connected with Chandler Lahr for a 21-yard gain, setting the Raiders up at the Rebel 4-yard line. Tate Lahr hit Charlie Veit on the next play for a 4-yard touchdown and East Sac led 7-0 with 3:29 left in the 1st quarter. Carson Schmitt intercepted the Rebels on their next possession, returning it to the Rebel 38-yard line. Landon Grindle ran for 10-yards on 3rd and 2, picking up a 1st down. The drive appeared to be stalling as East Sac faced a 3rd and 11 but Tate Lahr found Chandler Lahr for a 21-yard touchdown and East Sac went up 13-0 with 9:36 left in the 1st half. Sioux Central cut into the lead just before half. Max Adams scored on a 4-yard touchdown, capping a 14-play drive. The Raiders led 13-6 at half.

The Raiders defense stiffened even more in the 2nd  half, forcing a pair of punts and two turnovers on downs on the Rebels four possessions. East Sac struggled on offense, punting three times, but they were able to pick up a first down late in the game, allowing them to run out the clock. East Sac ran 12-plays combined their first-three possessions of the 2nd half, but ran out the clock with a 7-play drive to end the game.

Tate Lahr didn’t have to throw much, but completed 5 of 7 attempts for 59-yards and a pair of touchdowns. Chandler Lahr had 2 catches with one for a touchdown and Charlie Veit added 3 catches and a touchdown. Luke Wernimont led the defensive attack with 13 tackles and Karter Ludwig added 11.5 tackles.
