IKM-Manning scored with 6:29 left, pulling within 4-points, but the Chargers held on for a big district win, keeping their lead in the district and giving the Wolves their 3rd district loss. IKM-Manning used a nice mix on offense to keep the Chargers off-balance on defense. Ben Ramsey threw for 192-yards and a pair of touchdown while the Wolves ran for 191-yards and two more touchdowns. ACGC run game continues to be tough to stop, chewing up clock as they finished with 368-yards on the ground. They completed one pass, going for a 50-yard touchdown.
Davis Rasmussen gave the Wolves the first lead of the game, scoring on a 9-yard run, capping a 12-play drive, putting them up 6-0. ACGC answered on their first offensive play on their next possession. The 65-yard run by Jathan South made it 7-6 Chargers late in the 1st quarter. Both defenses made a stop and IKM-Manning would strike with 2:48 left in the half. Ben Langel snuck in from a yard out and the Wolves went up 13-7. ACGC again answered, Anthony Solorzano scored on a 6-yard run, capping a 5-play drive, putting the Chargers up 14-13 at half.
The Chargers extended the lead to start the 3rd quarter. Jathan South found Anthony Solorzano for a 50-yard touchdown with 10:38 left in the 3rd. The Chargers were up 21-13 but Davis Rasmussen took the ensuing kick back 85-yards for a touchdown, pulling the Wolves within 21-19. The Chargers added to their lead late in the 3rd, scoring on a 4-play drive, with Solorzano taking it in a 3-yard run. The Chargers led 28-19 going to the 4th quarter. The Wolves struck quickly in the 4th quarter with Ben Ramsey finding Ross Kusel for a 32-yard touchdown. ACGC blocked the extra point, keeping their lead at 28-25. Again the Chargers answered an IKM-Manning score. Jathan South scampered 45-yards, extending the lead to 35-25 with 10:07 left. The final points came on a 9-yard touchdown pass from Ben Ramsey to Ross Kusel with 6;29 left.
The Wolves slip to 3-3 overall and 2-3 in the district. The wrap up district play this Friday at home against Southwest Valley.
