The Rockets started well on the road, then struggled on the road after returning from a lightning delay. Remsen jumped out to a 16-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Rockets were able to cut it to a 10-point game as they scored a touchdown in the second quarter to make the score 16-6. St. Mary’s took a 22-6 lead into the locker rooms. The second half was all Remsen St. Mary’s as they outscored Ar-We-Va 25-0 and went on to win 47-6.
Jonathon Riesselman got his first start at quarterback for the Rockets. He completed 15/20 of his passes for 69 yards but threw three interceptions. Wyatt Ragaller caught four passes for 30 yards and led the team in rushing with 33 yards on nine carries.
The loss drops Ar-We-Va’s record to 4-2 on the season. The Rockets are back in action on Friday as they return home to take on Newell-Fonda.
