East Sac At Alta-Aurelia
Libbie Veit led the Raiders, finishing 27th in 24:11.97. The freshman has been consistently the top runner for the Raiders but felt she didn’t run her best race, getting out well but dropping back over the final mile, though her close was strong. Veit was followed by Kortni Thomsen, who finished 46th. Thomsen liked the course but felt it wasn’t one of her better runs this season. Julia Wagner took 57th as the Raiders only other runner. East Sac didn’t have team score with Hinton claiming the team title with two runners in the top 5 and three in the top 10. Cherokee took 2nd, eleven points behind Hinton with two runners in the top 8 and three in the top 15. Alta-Aurelia took 3rd, but had the individual champion as Nora Peterson of Alta-Aurelia continues her dominant career, leading from the start of the race and winning by 0:09 over Alyssa Richman of Manson NW Webster. They were both over a minute ahead of the rest of the field.
