The Wildcats continue their hot start to the season with a 32-point win over Collins-Maxwell on homecoming night. Glidden-Ralston ran the football well like they have all season. The Wildcats totaled 282 yards as a team on the ground. It was all Wildcats in the first quarter as they jumped out to a quick 16-0 lead going to the second. Neither team scored in the second quarter, and Glidden-Ralston held on to a 16-0 lead going to the locker rooms. The third quarter was the closest of the game scoring-wise as Glidden-Ralston scored two touchdowns compared to Collins-Maxwell’s one and took a 30-6 lead going to the fourth and final quarter. The Wildcats iced the game away with a touchdown in the fourth and went on to beat Collins-Maxwell 38-6.
Colby Wallace was 4/7 through the air for 71 yards. Wallace was the leading rusher for the Wildcats, as he recorded 171 yards and scored four touchdowns. Emmett Snyder showed off his speed as he recorded 100 yards on the ground and a touchdown on only ten carries. Wallace was also Glidden-Ralston’s leading tackler with six on the night. Brayton Meyer forced two turnovers as he picked off two Collins-Maxwell passes. With the win, the Wildcats improve to 4-1 and 3-0 in district play. Glidden-Ralston is back in action on Friday on the road against Audubon on 93.7 KKRL. Audubon comes in 4-1 and also 3-0 in district play.
