Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Kuemper Boys Have a Strong Showing At Glenwood Saturday

Boys  Cross Country Results Saturday, August 26th 

Kuemper At Glenwood 

Kuemper wanted a strong showing against a tough field on Saturday and succeeded in doing that, taking 3rd place, not far behind Clarinda, who was 2nd. Glenwood was the favorite on their home course and the ranked team showed why winning the event by 16 points over the Cardinals. Glenwood ended the meet with three runners in the top 10, scoring 51 points, Clarinda had 67 points and Kuemper ended with 75 points. The Knights had one runner in the top 10, but finished with three in the top 15 and their top five guys in the top 25.

Jacob Greving set the tempo for Kuemper, taking 5th place in 17:11.96. Treyton Schaapherder of Clarinda was the champion, running a 15:43.30. Ryan North took 13th for the Knights in 17:55.51 and Dayton Wiederien also had a strong start, running a 18:06.49, taking 15th place.
