Carroll took over a tight game in the 2nd half, shutting down the Rams, forcing a punt on their first possession, then getting an interception and three straight turnovers on downs. The Tigers offense was limited as the half went on due to the heat and players cramping. Both starting running backs, Cooper Ludwig and Chase Ragaller didn’t play much the 2nd half and Brayton Alford also sat in the 2nd half. Carroll scored on their opening possession of the 2nd half, opening up a two score lead, then put the game away with a 4th quarter touchdown and the legs of Carter Essick.

The game opened with each team turning the ball over on their opening drive, after both looked like they may score. Gabe Ebersole broke off a big run for the Rams to start the game, getting deep into Tiger territory but they fumbled a couple plays later, recovered by the Tigers. Carroll marched down the field with a big run by Cooper Ludwig and Carter Essick finding Brayton Alford to put the Tigers in the red zone. Carroll turned it over with the Rams recovering at their own 13-yard line. Both offenses moved the ball well in the 1st quarter but couldn’t finish drives until the Tigers broke through early in the 2nd quarter. Carter Essick found Tate Schleisman wide open on a nice play action pass, scoring on a 47-yard pass. The Tigers failed on the 2-point conversion, taking a 6-0 lead into the half. The Rams nearly tied it up late in the half but Carroll forced a punt, halting a 12-play drive.

The Tigers scored quickly in the 2nd half, driving 88-yards in 5-plays with Carter Essick finding Chase Ragaller for a 17-yard touchdown off a deflection on a one handed attempt by Brayton Alford. Carroll went up 14-0 with 9:23 to go in the 3rd quarter. The Tigers forced a three and out but turned it over with an interception. Mac Collison got it back for the Tigers, returning his interception for 22-yards. That helped set up a 9-yard touchdown pass from Carter Essick to Evan Hammer, who made a nice catch. Carroll took a 20-0 lead with 11:54 left in the game. They put the  game away with the defense forcing three turnovers on downs.
