East Sac ran out of pitching late as Ridge View scored 7-runs to break open a close game. Both teams scored in the 1st inning then didn’t score again until the 5th. The Raptors added a pair of runs to go up 3-1. They extended the lead with 2 more in the 6th, but East Sac answered. Karter Ludwig doubled and Luke Wernimont singled. Landon Sporrer singled to drive in Ludwig and Tucker Grossley grounded out scoring Wernimont later in the inning. The Raiders trailed 5-3 going into the 7th, but struggled with walks and Ridge View scored 7 times in the top 7th. East Sac tried to rally, scoring 2 in the bottom 7th as Bradyn Burns was hit-by-pitch and Weston Drost walked. Both guys scored on passed balls.
East Sac finished with 7 hits with Luke Wernimont and Luke Wright both with 2 hits. Wernimont scored. Bradyn Burns scored twice and Landon Sporrer and Tucker Grossley both had an RBI. Karter Ludwig doubled and scored.
The Raiders fall to 3-14 and will take on Pocahontas Area on Saturday in Class 2A 1st Round action on KIKD 106.7.
