Carroll hung tough over half the game, leading 2-1 going into the bottom 3rd. The Toreadors tied the game in the 3rd, then used a 4-run 4th inning to take control. Carroll answered with a run in the 5th but Boone scored 2 in the 5th and 4 more in the 6th to pull away. Boone out hit the Tigers 12 to 5, though Carroll was able to battle for 3-walks and was hit-by-pitch 4 times with Parker Adams getting hit twice. Erin Ades had a pair of home runs for Boone to help them open up the lead as she drove in 3-runs.
Averi Burke paced the Tigers offense with a double, a pair of RBI and scoring twice. Kloee Jones, Ava Gross, Olivia Rowedder and Emma Kuhlmann all had a base hit. Gross had an RBI and stole 3 bases. Camryn Schable took the loss, going 5 innings, allowing 9 hits and 6 earned runs.
The Tigers fall to 14-17 and will head to Ballard on Thursday.

Both teams scored 5-runs in an inning, but it was back-to-back 2-run innings that helped the Cardinals pull away late for the win. The Knights collected a single from Melinda Schaefer and another from Ally Sommerfeld in the first-two innings, but wasn’t able to muster any offense. They finally scored in the 3rd when Melinda Schaefer reached on an error and scored on a second straight error for the Cardinals. Clarinda took the lead in the 4th, starting their rally with a Knight error. They had a double and a single mixed in the inning, scoring 5-runs. They extended their lead to 6-1 in the 5th but the Knights charged back. Allison Ostrander walked to start the inning, then Kaci Peter and Melinda Schaefer both singled with Schaefer getting an RBI. Myli Schaefer reached on an error, setting up a 2-run home run by Alexis Diercksen. Kuemper tied the game at 6, through 5 innings. The Knights got a pair of outs to start the Clarinda 6th but a 2-out rally started with three straight singles. A Kuemper error allowed the second run of the inning to score. Clarinda added 2 more runs in the 7th. Kuemper got a single in both the 6th and 7th innings but stranded the runner on base.
Alexis Diercksen paced the Knights with 2 hits, including a 2-run home run. Melinda Schaefer had a pair of hits with an RBI and scored a run. Kaci Peter singled and scored twice. Myli Schaefer took the loss, with 10 hits and 7 earned runs in 7 innings.

Clarinda put the game away with a 8-run 6th inning, allowing them to win in 6 innings and finish a sweep of the night. The game was tied through 2 innings and Kuemper trailed 5-3 going into the 6th inning. Clarinda scored a pair of runs in the 1st inning, taking advantage of a couple Knight errors. Melinda Schaefer reached on an error and scored in the bottom half, pulling the Knights within a run. Clarinda got a run in the 2nd and Kuemper again responded, Alexis Diercksen and Ally Sommerfeld both singled and scored on a sac fly by Kyla Wiskus and a ground out from Morgan Masching. A 2-run 3rd put Clarinda back on top, setting up the 6th inning. Kuemper had a runner on 2nd base in the 4th and again in the 6th, leaving 2-runners on base in the 6th.
Ellie Sibbel and Alexis Diercksen both had 2 hits with Diercksen scoring a run. Kaci Peter, Melinda Schaefer, Kaylie Diercksen and Ally Sommerfeld all singled. Sommerfeld took the loss, going 3 innings, allowing 10 hits and 4 earned runs.
The pair of losses drops Kuemper to 15-19. They host Denison Schleswig on Tuesday.

Coon Rapids Bayard steadily pulled away on the road on Monday, scoring in 4 of the 7 innings, collecting 12 hits while allowing 5. The highlight was a home run by Breeley Clayburg, giving her 3 RBI for the game. The Crusaders never trailed but were tied at 1-1 after 2 innings, with Coon Rapids Bayard scoring in the 1st inning and the Cougars scoring a run in the 2nd inning. Coon added 2 in the 3rd, then got 3 in the 4th and 3 more runs in the 6th.

Audubon scored 8 of their 10 runs in the 3rd, 4th and 5th innings combined. That helped propel them to a tough road win as they scored in the last five innings. Bedford wouldn’t go away quietly, scoring in five of the 7 innings, but getting just 1-run in four of those innings. The Wheelers trailed 2-0, going into the 3rd inning, taking the lead for good. Jordan Mulford singled to start the rally, followed by a single from Mattie Nielsen, Jordan Porsch, Kali Irlmeier and Kylee Hartl. Mulford, Nielsen and Irlmeier all scored. A 2-out single by Mattie Nielsen in the 4th helped the Wheelers blow the game open. Jordan Porsch homered, driving in a pair of runs and the Wheelers went up 5-2. A 3-run 5th inning, put the Wheelers up 8-2. Bedford made it close, scoring a run in the 5th and 7th and getting 2 in the 6th inning.
Kali Irlmeier was perfect at the plate, going 4-4 with a pair of doubles. Mattie Nielsen had 3 hits and scored 3 times. Jordan Porsch added a pair of hits with 3 RBI and Alexis Obermeier had 2 hits, including a double. She earned the win, going 7 innings, 6 hits and 2 earned runs with 12 strikeouts.
The Wheelers move to 14-7 and will host CAM on Tuesday.
