Carroll dropped another Racoon River Conference matchup to a good Bondurant Farrar team. Despite the loss, the Tigers pitched well Wednesday night. Bondurant Farrar scored the first runs of the game in the top of the first inning, plating two runs. The Bluejays added another run in the third to take a 3-0 lead over Carroll. In the bottom of the third inning, Carroll cut into the lead by scoring one run off of a Stone Sibenaller RBI single. The Tigers were held scoreless for the rest of the game. Bondurant Farrar added one more in the fourth and two more in the fifth and would go on to win against Carroll 6-1.

Carroll recorded six hits in the game. Trey Tassell took the loss on the mound giving up four earned runs on six hits. The loss drops Carroll to 3-17 on the season and 1-11 in conference play. The Tigers are back in action on Thursday at Carlisle.

The Raiders struggled at home in a Twin Lakes Conference matchup. ESC only managed two hits in the game. Manson-NW Webster scored the game’s first runs in the top of the first inning, plating four runs. The Cougars would take a 4-0 lead going to the bottom of the third when ESC cut into the lead to make the score 4-1. Manson-NW Webster responded with two more runs in the top of the fourth to extend their lead to 6-1. In the home half of the fifth inning, ESC cut into the lead again, plating a single run. The Cougars extended their lead in the top of the seventh inning and held the Raiders scoreless in the bottom half to win 7-2 over ESC.

The Raiders recorded two hits coming off the bats of Luke Wright and Tucker Grossely. ESC used three pitchers in the game. They combined to go seven innings giving up three earned runs on seven hits and striking out three Manson-NW Webster hitters. The loss drops ESC to 2-11 and 2-6 in conference play. The Raiders are back in action on Friday at West Bend-Mallard.

South Central Calhoun lost to a good Newell-Fonda team in five innings at home Wednesday night. The Mustangs scored in every inning but one. They scored the game’s first runs by plating two runs in the top of the first inning. Newell-Fonda took a 2-0 going to the third and extended their lead to 5-0 by scoring three more runs. Newell-Fonda scored by plating four in the fourth and adding one more run in the fifth to beat SCC 10-0.

The Titans were held to three hits on Wednesday, coming off Brendan Stone’s and Caleb Juhl’s bats. SCC Struck out ten times in the game. SCC pitching combined to go five innings giving up ten runs on eight hits and walking seven Newell-Fonda hitters. The loss drops SCC to 2-12 and 2-7 in conference play. The Titans are back in action on Friday against Southeast Valley.

The Rockets put the ball in play but only managed a couple of hits on the road in a blowout loss to Woodbine. Woodbine scored in every inning and finished the game in five innings. They scored the first run of the game in the home half of the first and added two more runs in the second to take a 3-0 lead going to the third inning. Woodbine blew the game open in the third, plating seven runs to lead 10-0. Woodbine added four more in the fourth and would go on to win the game 14-0.

The Rockets recorded two hits in the game. Ar-We-Va pitching combined to go four innings giving up 12 earned runs on ten hits and walking seven woodbine batters. The Rockets are back in action on Thursday at home against Boyer Valley.

On Wednesday night, glidden-Ralston drops a back-and-forth game on the road against Exira-EHK. Glidden-Ralston scored the game’s first runs by plating two runs in the top of the first inning. The Wildcats quickly lost their lead when Exira-EHK scored six runs in the bottom of the second inning to take a 6-2 lead going to the third inning. Glidden-Ralston cut in the Exira-EHK lead by plating two runs to make the score 6-4. In the home half of the third inning, the Spartans were able to extend their lead to 9-4 after scoring three runs. Both teams would score again in the fourth inning to take the score 10-5 in favor of Exira-EHK. The Wildcats cut into the lead once again, making the score 10-6 after plating a run in the top half of the fifth inning. Exira-EHK extended their lead in the bottom of the sixth and won over Glidden-Ralston 11-6.

The Wildcats recorded six hits in the game. Waylon Hein picked up two hits in the game. Alex Daniel and Colby Wallace combined to go six innings giving up seven earned runs on nine hits, and stuck out three Exira-EHK hitters. The loss drops Glidden-Ralston’s record to 5-13 and 4-9 in Rolling Valley play. The Wildcats are back in action Friday at home against CAM.

The Crusaders came up short on the road after trailing for most of the game. Woodbine scored the game’s first runs by plating a run in the bottom of the second inning. Woodbine, leading 1-0, extended their lead in the home half of the third by scoring two more runs, taking a 3-0 lead over CRB. Woodbine scored again in the fourth to lead 4-0, going to the top of the sixth innings. CRB was able to cut into the Woodbine lead by plating a run in the top of the sixth inning to make the score 4-1. Woodbine extended their lead to 8-1 by scoring four more times in the bottom of the sixth inning. The Crusaders would plate two runs of their own in the top of the seventh inning but would fall short of a comeback at Woodbine to lose 8-3.

CRB picked up five hits in the game. Kolby Culbertson recorded multiple hits in the game, with one going for extra bases. Lance Clayburg, Ty Heydon, and Tyler Mohr also recorded hits in Wednesday’s game. The Crusaders committed five errors which led to four unearned runs. CRB used three pictures. They combined to go six innings giving up seven hits and striking out five Woodbine hitters. The loss drops CRB to 20-4 and 9-2 in Rolling Valley play. The Crusaders are back in action on Friday at home against Woodbine.

Kuemper hit the ball well on the road to keep their winning streak alive Wednesday night. The Knights stuck first in the game, plating two runs in the top of the second inning to take a 2-0 lead. Kuemper would extend their lead in the third by plating four more runs to lead 6-0. Denison Schleswig cut in the Kuemper lead by plating a single run in the bottom of the third to make the score 6-1. Kuemper responded in the top of the fourth, extending their lead to 9-1. The game would continue its back-and-forth play when Denison-Schleswig scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth to make the score 9-5. Kuemper extended their lead again in the seventh and would go on and win 11-5 over Denison-Schleswig in Hawkeye Ten play.

The Knights recorded nine hits in the game. Three of them went for extra bases. Evan Loew recorded two hits, each going for extra bases. Carter Putney, Ethan Loew, and Cooper Pottebaum recorded multiple hits in the game. Mason Knerl and Trevor Rial combined to go seven innings on the hill, giving up five earned runs and striking out six Denison-Schleswig batters. The win improves Kuemper’s record to 17-8 on the season and 10-5 in conference play. The Knights are back in action again on Saturday against Woodbine at Merchants Park.
