Carroll jumped out early, then matched the Chargers late to pick up their first win of the season. The Tigers struck for 3-runs in the 1st inning, highlighted by a 2-run double from Ryan North. Dreylen Schweitzer worked out a bases loaded walk, one of his four walks in the game. Carter Essick singled in the 3rd, extending the Tigers lead to 4-1. It stayed that way into the 5th, when Carroll added a pair of runs, thanks to a couple Chargers errors. ACGC scored a run top of the 6th but Mason Vought answered with an RBI single in the bottom half and scored on a wild pitch. The Chargers tried to rally in the 7th but Linkin Weitl was able to shut the door, picking up a complete game win.
Linkin Weitl earned a win, going 7 innings, allowing 3 earned runs on 7 hits with 4 strikeouts and 3 walks. Mason Vought paced the offensive attack with a pair of hits and scoring twice. Stone Sibenaller added a pair of runs and Ryan North doubled, driving in a pair of runs. Dreylen Schweitzer walked 4 times.
Carroll improves to 1-7 overall and will host Boone on Monday on KIKD 106.7.

Glidden Ralston nearly dug out of an early hole, but fell short on the road. The Cougars used six walks and one hit in the 1st inning to build a 4-0 lead. The Wildcats scored a pair of runs in the 4th and 2 more in the 5th but CAM Anita added a run bottom 4th and maintained the lead over the final inning and a half. Glidden Ralston out hit the Cougars 4-2 but also struck out 11 times.
Ethan Olberding, Jackson Sklenar (a triple), Alex Daniel and Blayce Nelson all had a hit. Olberding, Sklenar, Daniel Thooft and Mark Lensch drove in a run with Olberding leading the team with 2 runs scored. Colby Wallace settled in after the 1st inning, allowing 2 hits and 4 earned runs for the game while striking out 6.
The loss drops the Wildcats to 3-6. They travel to Woodbine on Tuesday.

The Titans used four pitchers, allowing 5 hits but giving up 8 unearned runs. Charlie Nattress have a pair of doubles, driving in a run and scoring one of their two runs. Khyean Hawkins picked up their other hit, adding an RBI, Andrew Anderson scored a run. Marshall Bundt went 1 2/3 innings, allowing 2 hits, 8 runs with none of them earned.

The Raiders struggled after a delay due to the weather, allowing 11-runs over the final 4 innings, with 5 of them in the top 7th. The Warriors scored a pair of runs in the top 1st and held a 2-0 lead into the 4th inning. The Raiders scored in the 6th when Jack Gullett reached on a fielders choice, Karter Ludwig was hit-by-pitch and Luke Wernimont singled to load the bases. Gullett scored when Weston Drost reached on an error picking up an RBI. East Sac finished with 7 hits while the Warriors collected 8 hits and 11 walks.

The Wheelers led most of the game, only to see it slip away in the bottom of the 7th. The Wheelers went up 2-0 in the top 2nd and led 3-1 going into the 5th. Missouri Valley pushed a run across the plate in the 5th and 6th, tying the game at 3. Audubon responded in the top 7th with a couple base hits and walks, tagging up a runner from 3rd to go up 4-3, then getting an RBI single from Carson Wessel, building the lead to 5-3. The Big Red worked their way back into the game bottom 7th, picking up a hit, walk, a hit by pitch, then a double to tie the game at 5. Missouri Valley loaded the bases with 2-outs and scored on a walk on a close pitch with a full count to end the game.
Jay Remsburg had a team high 2 hits and scored twice while Gavin Larsen doubled, driving in a run. Aaron Olsen, Carson Wessel, Mason Steckler and Jack Stanerson all had an RBI, giving the Wheelers five guys with an RBI. Gavin Larsen pitched well, going 4 innings, allowing 5 hits and 1 earned run with 7 strikeouts.
The Wheelers fall to 2-7, having dropped 7 straight with 2 of those losses by a run. They host LoMa on Monday.
