Girls Soccer Results Tuesday, May 9th 

Kuemper At Atlantic

Atlantic had 20 shots on goal and Kuemper finished with 18 shots on goal. Kuemper was able to score one more goal to pick up the win, moving to 10-6 on the season. Catherine Mayhall came off scoring the game winning in overtime on Monday, adding to her records with the game winning goal with 8:00 left. Mayhall led the Knights with 2 goals and Cierra Pudenz added a goal. The Kuemper defense was strong most of the game, though Atlantic was able to put pressure on them. Brianna Wittrock finished the game with 18 saves.

The  Knights host LoMa on Thursday at the fieldhouse.

North Polk At Carroll

Carroll defense tried to get North Polk out of their system and rhythm but the 6th ranked Comets were able  to find seems, building a 9-0 lead at half. Sophia Polking had a shot on goal for the Tigers. North Polk ended the game 12:00 into the 2nd half, going up 12-0. Kiley Riesberg had 18 saves for the Tigers.

Carroll falls to 2-13 on the season, they host Winterset on Thursday.

Humboldt At East Sac

East Sac 0

 

East Sac started slow, falling behind 3-0 at half, allowing an own goal. They played better in the 2nd half, out shooting the Wildcats 7-3, but weren’t able to find the back of the net. Humboldt struck first, scoring 7:00 into the game. The lead grew to 2-0, 22:00 into the 1st  half when the Raiders allowed an own goal. Humboldt stretched the lead to 3-0 with 8:00 left in the half. Kenna Meyer led the Raiders attack with 4 shots on goal. Danae Thayer finished with 8 saves.

East Sac falls to 4-8 on the season and will travel to Greene County on Friday night.
