Girls Track Results Thursday, May 4th
Ar-We-Va, Glidden Ralston, East Sac, IKM-Manning, Paton Churdan and South Central Calhoun At Jim Yunek Relays At Lake City
South Central Calhoun had the most champions with five as five of our six area schools had at least one championship at Lake City. IKM-Manning finished in 3rd as a team with 103.50 points, 2 points behind SE Valley. Newell Fonda was the champion with 111 points in a tight race for the title. The Titans used their five championships to help them finish 5th with 92.50 points. Glidden Ralston had one title, finishing in 7th with 43 points. East Sac took 8th with 31 points, Paton Churdan won a championship, finishing 9th with 26 points and Ar-We-Va claimed a title, taking 10th with 23.50 points.
Keira Hammen continues to have a strong season winning both the Discus (109-05) and the Shot Put (37-11.75). Emma Myers won the 400 Meters for South Central Calhoun in 1:06.84, Chloe Judisch claimed another 800 Meters title in 2:25.69. The Titans won the Distance Medley in 4:27.75 with Jayci Graeve, Mya Ridgely, Brenna McAlister and Chloe Judisch. The Titans had a pair of 2nd place finishes with Brenna McAlister in the 1500 Meters and Iris Melody in the 3000 Meters. Melody added a 3rd in the 3000 Meters.
IKM-Manning won the 4×800 in 10:46.07 with Julianna Stribe, Emmie Ring, Alikxa McGinn and Taylor Beckendorf. The Wolves had three 2nd place finishes, Alikxa McGinn in the 400 Meters along with the 4×200 with Taylor Beckendorf, Abby Wanser, Grace Carroll and Hannah McKinney. Their Shuttle Hurdle also took 2nd with Abbagail Neiheisel, Amber Halbur, Abby Wanser and Madelyn Snyder. The Wolves were 3rd in the Sprint Medley with Amber Halbur, Karlee Arp, Hannah McKinney and Madelyn Snyder. Mabel Langel took 3rd in the 100 Meters.
Vanessa Koehler won the High Jump for Glidden Ralston at 5-04. The Wildcats had a pair of 2nd place finishes in the 100 Hurdles with Koehler and Tiela Janssen in the 400 Hurdles. She ran a personal best 1:11.04.
East Sac took 3rd in the Shuttle Hurdle with Kierstin Carroll, Olivya Mack, Madison Meister and Haley Jo King.
Becca Anderson of Paton Churdan won the Long Jump with a longest jump of 15-06.50. Anderson was also 3rd in the 400 Meters.
Maggie Ragaller gave the Rockets of Ar-We-Va a title in the 400 Hurdles, winning in 1:99.43 which is a new personal best. Jamie Hausman was 3rd in the 100 Hurdles. Kora Obrecht added a 3rd in the Long Jump.

Kuemper at Hawkeye 10 Conference Meet at Red Oak
New personal record and a conference champion were the highlights for the Kuemper Knights during the Hawkeye 10 Conference meet at Red Oak Thursday. As a team, the Knights were able to finish ninth overall with 38 points. Glenwood were crowned Hawkeye 10 champions with a point total of 133.
Ellie Sibbell was the lone conference champion the Knights came away with where she won the shot put even with a winning throw of 36-04. She was also able to finish third overall in the discus event with a best throw of 106-05.
The Knights as a team had five new personal records set at this meet, coming in the sprint and distance medley relays, 4X100, 4X200, and Grace C Hoffman in the 400 hurdles. Hoffman was able to finish third overall with a time of 1:10.33. The 4X200 team, composed of Macy Blum, Kerrigan Irlbeck, Catherine Mayhall, and Kaci Peter, had the best relay finish for Kuemper finishing third overall with a new best time of 1:53.08. Megan Scott replaced Blum in the 4X100 relay where the team finished seventh overall and had a new personal record of 53.59.
The sprint medley relay team, composed of Scott, Mayhall, Peter, and Charlotte Hackfort, set a new personal best time of 2:01.83 and finished eighth overall. The final new personal record was set in the distance medley relay where Scott, Mayhall, Grace C Hoffman, and Hackfort finished sixth overall with a new best time of 4:36.83.
The Knights are back in action next when they see who will be heading to the state meet when they compete at their state qualifying meet at OABCIG on Thursday, May 11th.

Audubon and Coon Rapids Bayard At Panorama
Audubon won a pair of title and had five 2nd place finishes, scoring 85 points for 3rd place, behind Van Meter with 94 and Panorama with 89. Coon Rapids Bayard scored 15 points, placing in six events with 5th place as their best finish.
Madison Steckler won the 100 Hurdles for the Wheelers in 16-14 and was part of the winning 4×400 team in 4:18.17 with Anna Larsen, Mattie Nielsen, Kadence Sporrer. Steckler added a 2nd place in the 200 Meters and Stefi Beisswenger was 2nd in the 3000 Meters. The Distance Medley team with Addie Hocker, Michelle Brooks, Mattie Nielsen and Kadence Sporrer was 2nd. The Shuttle Hurdle ended up 2nd with Michelle Brooks, Mattie Nielsen, Madi Burr and Madison Steckler and Alexis Obermeier was 2nd in the Shot Put.
Mya Downing led the Crusaders, finishing 5th in the High Jump.
