Boys Golf Results for Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023
Kuemper at Atlantic Invite
With nearly perfect golfing weather the Kuemper Knights were able to finish in the top five in a tight race for the top spot at the Atlantic Invite Tuesday. As a team, the Knights shot a score of 310, just two strokes off of third place finisher ADM and three strokes off of second-place Winterset. Knoxville won the close race with a score of 301.
Two Kuemper golfers were able to finish in the top 15 and they were not the normal suspects. Dawson Billmeier rounded out a solid day on the course with a score of 76, good for ninth overall individually. Kayden Schon wasn’t too far behind with a score of 77 and finished 12th overall. Maverick Schwabe and Carter Putney rounded out a solid top four for the Knights with scores of 78 and 79 to give each of the top golfers a sub-80 score. Braxton Vonnahme finished the day right at 80 while Will Simons finished with a score of 86.
The Knights are back in action on Thursday, May 4th when they compete at the Hawkeye 10 Invite at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club.

Glidden Ralston and Coon Rapids Bayard at CAM Anita
Glidden Ralston and Coon Rapids Bayard both had great weather for their meet at CAM Anita Tuesday afternoon. The Crusaders had an overall solid day on the course, finishing just behind meet winner CAM Anita with a score of 170 compared to the Cougars’ 156. Glidden Ralston finished sixth overall with a score of 205.
The Crusaders’ top four golfers all scored a 45 or better with Jacob Estrada leading the way with a score of 40. His day included a birdie on hole four and pars on holes two, five, six, and eight. Logan Kenyon followed closely behind with a score of 41 on the day. He ended up with five pars on the day on holes two, four, six, seven, and nine. Max Shirbroun completed the day with a score of 44 with pars on holes two, four, and nine followed by Toby Benninger who had a score of 45 and birdies on holes four and nine.
Glidden Ralston’s Carson Peters led the way for the Wildcats with a score of 46. He was able to pick up pars on holes four and nine. He was followed up by Mark Lensch who ended up with a score of 50 and a par on hole four. Colby Wallace and Blayce Nelson finished close to each other with scores of 54 and 55 respectively.
Both teams are back in action on Thursday, May 4th when they compete at the Rolling Valley Conference Tournament held at the Carroll Muni.
