Boys Golf Results for Thursday, April 27th
Kuemper and Denison Schleswig at Lewis Central
The success train made another stop for the Kuemper Knights as they were able to get past Denison Schleswig and Lewis Central on Thursday. The Knights were able to win with a score of 154 followed by Lewis Central with 160 and Denison Schleswig with 173.
Three of the top four golfers for Kuemper ended up with sub-40 scores and picked up both top honors. Braxton Vonnahme captured another medalist honors on his season with a score of 36, followed closely by Maverick Schwabe who ended up with runner-up medalist honors with a score of 37. Kayden Schon was the third golfer who ended up with a score in the 30s with a score of 39. Rounding out the top four was Carter Putney who ended up with a score of 42.
The Knights are back in action on Saturday, April 29th when they compete in the Tornado Invitational at Lake Creek Country Club.

Win number five was no issue to pick up for the Audubon Wheelers Thursday as they hosted Griswold. The Wheelers had no issues picking up the win with a score of 171 compared to Griswold’s 192.
The Wheelers would also pick up both top individual honors. Jay Remsburg and Edward Miller ended up with scores of 41, but it was Remsburg who ended up with medalist honors and Miller who took home runner-up medalist. Henry Burr continued the solid scores for the Wheelers with a score of 44 followed closely by Oliver Deist with a score of 45. Despite being outside of the top four, Ryan Hermansen and Evan Alt had sub-50 scores of 47 on the day.
The Wheelers are away from competition until Wednesday, May 3rd when they have another Western Iowa Conference meet at Nishna Hills Golf Club with Tri-Center hosting.

Alta-Aurelia, Storm Lake St. Mary’s and SE Valley at South Central Calhoun
A season filled with plenty of success already continues to be written for the South Central Calhoun Titans as they picked up another win Thursday at home. The Titans ended up with a score of 165 to win the meet, followed by Alta-Aurelia with 170, Southeast Valley with 182, and Storm Lake St. Mary’s with 193.
The two top honors were once again won by the Titans with Justin Hanks finishing with a score of 37 to capture medalist honors and Bryan Steig with a 39 to win runner-up medalist honors. Hanks was able to pick up birdies on holes one and three and got pars on holes four, five, and eight. Steig was also able to get a birdie, but it was on hole two and he got pars on holes five, six, and seven. The two other top scorers for the Titans were Charlie Nattress with a score of 44 and Charlie Nattress and Caleb Gaffney, both ended up with a score of 45. While outside of the top golfers, Merle Stauter had a sub-50 score of 48 on the day.
The Titans will see OABCIG for the first of two times this week on Friday, April 28th at the Twin Lakes Golf Club.

ACGC, Woodard Granger, and Panorama at Coon Rapids Bayard
A meet win was just out of reach for the Coon Rapids Bayard Crusaders as they hosted ACGC, Woodward Granger, and Panorama Thursday. They and Woodward Granger tied with a team score of 330 while Panorama took home the win with a score of 324. ACGC finished the day with a score of 364.
Max Shirbroun did give the Crusaders a positive finish when he took home runner-up medalist honors with a score of 76. Evan Powell from Panorama was crowned medalist with the same score of 76 but won the playoff between him and Shirbroun. Toby Benninger was right on track with Shirbroun finishing with a score of 79. Gavin Heiderscheit was runner-up medalist on Monday and continued his solid golfing with a score of 84. Landon Cook rounded out the top four with a score of 91 on the day.
The Crusaders will join East Sac and South Central Calhoun on Saturday, April 29th when they all compete at the OABCIG Invitational Tournament.

East Sac, Newell Fonda, and Sioux Central at Manson NW Webster
The East Sac Raiders came away from Thursday’s meet at Manson NW Webster with some solid scores but were unable to pick up the team win. They ended up with a score of 193 overall with Manson NW Webster picking up the win with a score of 170 followed by Newell Fonda with a score of 172. Sioux Central was fourth with a score of 203.
Carter Hogrefe and Brady Burns finished with two great scores for the Raiders being 45 and 47 respectively. Chase Brockman was just outside of the 40s with a day’s score of 50. Jack Gullett was right behind him with a course score of 51. Carter Erritt was outside of the top four scorers, but he ended up with a score of 56. East Sac will have the chance to see Newell Fonda twice this week when they travel to take on the Mustangs on Friday, April 28th.
