Girls Track Results for Tuesday, April 25th, 2023
Carroll at Missouri Valley
The Carroll Tigers once again claimed waste on another track meet as they were crowned champions again at Missouri Valley Tuesday. The Tigers finished with 143 team points and 12 top-two finishes on the day. Treynor finished second with 124 points and Riverside had 113 in third.
Shay Sinnard once again proved her worth at this track meet, racking up three top finishes. She won the long jump event with a best jump of 16-10.00, 100-meter dash with a best time of 12.25, and was part of the winning 4X200 relay along with Marasyn Wittrock, Aubrie Schmitt-Hubbard, and Aubrie Drake where they won with a time of 1:52.96. Sinnard was also part of the 4X100 team, along with Brenna Goins, Madison Tunning, and Elizabeth Perkins, where they finished third with a time of 51.67.
Tunning had a stellar day herself with two top individual finishes. She was able to win the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.08 and was second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.13. Emily Puck and Katelyn Aden both finished in second place in the 400-meter dash with the same time of 1:03.82. Emma Kuhlmann secured a second-place finish in the shot put event where she had a best throw of 32-01.50. Marie Dea completed a great showing for the individual events where she won the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:06.88, setting a New School Record.
In the remaining relays, the Tigers had another three winning teams. In the 4X400, Averi Burke, Puck, Aden, and Wittrock won the event with a time of 4:19.97. The sprint medley relay team, composed of Wittrock, Perkins, Aubrie Drake, and Dea, also won their event with a time of 1:57.81. Finally, the distance medley relay team, composed of Brenna Goins, Zoey Feld, Burke, and Dea, won the event with a time of 4:33.13.
The Tigers will be down in Des Moines on Thursday, April 27th for the Drake Relays as they are competing in six events.

Kuemper at Madrid
The Kuemper Knights brought home more top placements Tuesday as they competed at Madrid. The Knights finished fifth overall with 76 team points. Van Meter were the overall meet winners with a team score of 167.
The Knights ended up with six top-three finishes at the meet with two champions. Grace C Hoffman was able to win the long jump event with a winning jump of 14-08.50. Ellie Sibbel continued to dominate the field events with a championship performance in the shot put with a winning throw of 35-01.00. She also placed third in the discus with a best throw of 91-11.
Three Kuemper relays were able to come away with second place finishes. In the distance medley relay, Megan Scott, Catherine Mayhall, Hoffman, and Charlotte Hackfort finished with a time of 4:36.20. Scott and Mayhall joined up with Kaci Peter and Macy Blum in the 4X200 relay where they finished with a time of 1:56.35. Finally, Scott, Peter, Mayhall, and Kerrigan Irlbeck composed the 4X100 relay where they finished with a time of 53.80.
The Knights are back in action on Friday, April 28th when they compete at the Ross Samuelson Relays at South Central Calhoun high school along with Ar-We-Va, East Sac, and Paton Churdan.

Ar-We-Va, Coon Rapids Bayard, IKM-Manning at Audubon Bob Clark Relays
The Audubon Wheelers hosted the Bob Clark Relays on Tuesday where Ar-We-Va, Coon Rapids Bayard, and IKM-Manning all competed. The Wolves had the best showing amongst our area teams with a second-place finish with 86 points, just behind meet winner Clarinda who had 107 points. Audubon finished fourth overall with 79 points followed by Ar-We-Va in ninth place with 46 and Coon Rapids Bayard in 13th with 17 points.
The Wolves had plenty of top finishes, coming away with two top-two finishes. The 4X800 relay team, composed of Julianna Stribe, Emmie Ring, Alikxa McGinn, and Taylor Beckendorf, finished second overall with a time of 11:16.32. The 4X200 relay team also got second place with a time of 1:57.64. Grace Carroll, Karlee Arp, McGinn, and Hannah McKinney were all part of that relay. Other top relay finishes for the Wolves includes the distance medley relay team, composed of Beckendorf, Abby Wanser, Madelyn Snyder, and Stribe, who finished fourth overall with a time of 4:48.00, and the 4X400 team, composed of Beckendorf, Snyder, Carroll, and McGinn, who also finished fourth with a time of 4:40.74.
Emily Albertsen returned from a few meets off and had a solid individual showing. She finished third in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:48.46, fourth in the 3000-meter run with a time of 12:25.50, and fifth in the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:57.27. Teammate Raegan Garrison also had top finishes in the distance races. She finished fifth in the 3000-meter run with a time of 12:37.92 and fourth in the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:50.98. Two other top-five individual finishes for the Wolves included McKinney who finished fourth overall in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.07 and Snyder who finished fifth overall in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:16.75.
Audubon showed up well at their home meet with eight top-three finishes. Madison Steckler was able to snag three championships, one individually and two in relays. She won the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.83, was part of the winning 4X400 relay along with Kadence Sporrer, Addie Hocker, and Mattie Nielsen who won the event with a time of 4:30.43 and was also part of the winning distance medley relay team, along with Nielsen, Sporrer, and Stefi Beisswenger, who won the event with a time of 4:39.28. The only second-place finish Steckler had at the meet was in the shuttle hurdle where the relay team finished with a time of 1:11.66. Steckler was accompanied by Michelle Brooks, Nielsen, and Madison Burr.
The sprint medley team, composed of Addie Hocker, Brooks, Nielsen, and Sporrer, were the last relay team to finish high with a second-place finish with a time of 1:59.89. Top individual finishes include Beisswenger who finished second in the 3000-meter run with a time of 11:52.59 and in the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:27.13 and Alexis Obermeier who finished third in the discus event with a best throw of 90-10.
For the Ar-We-Va Rockets Kora Obrecht brought home four top four finishes overall. She won the 100-meter dash with a winning time of 13.24, was third in the long jump with a best jump of 14-01.50, finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.26, and was part of the third-place finishing 4X100 relay team, along with Maggie Ragaller, Amber Ragaller, and Jamie Hausman, who finished the event with a time of 53.96. Maggie Ragaller finished ahead of Obrecht in the 100-meter hurdles with a second-place finish and a time of 16.90. Maggie was also part of the shuttle hurdle relay team, along with Elizabeth Brunner, Hausman, and Amber Ragaller, who finished third overall with a time of 1:11.72.
Ella Heithoff of Coon Rapids Bayard gave the Crusaders their best finish of the day with a fourth-place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:51.30. Malia Clayburg was part of two top finishes for the Crusaders, one individual finish in the 200-meter dash where she placed eighth with a time of 29.12 and was part of the 4X200 relay team, along with Maddy Mason, Kadey Olson, and Anna Hart where they finished sixth overall with a time of 2:01.56. Mason also had a top individual finish in the discus where she placed seventh with a best throw of 82-10.

East Sac at Cherokee
The East Sac Raiders came away from Cherokee Tuesday with a handful of solid finishes despite a low team score. The Raiders ended up finishing eighth overall with 48 points. Ridge View were the overall winners with 165 team points.
The Raiders ended up with seven top five finishes. Maci Gustavson had the best finish of the day in the discus finishing second overall with a best throw of 95-06. She also finished fourth overall in the shot put with a best throw of 31-03.00. Mary Bontrager had the next best individual finish with a third-place finish in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:05.41. Madison Meister was able to secure a fifth-place finish in the 100 hurdles with a time of 18.37.
The shuttle hurdle team, composed of Kierstin Carroll, Olivya Mack, Meister, and Haley Jo King, finished third overall with a time of 1:18.21. In the 4X200, Jen Aschinger, Elena Valenza, Jordin Carroll, and Jo King finished fourth overall with a time of 2:00.57. Finally, the 4X100 team, composed of Aschinger, Valenza, Bontrager, and Kierstin Carroll, finished fifth overall with a time of 55.88.
The Raiders are back in action on Friday, April 28th when they compete at the Ross Samuelson Relays at South Central Calhoun high school along with Ar-We-Va, Kuemper, and Paton Churdan.

South Central Calhoun at OABCIG
The South Central Calhoun Titans came away from their meet at OABCIG with seven top-two finishes overall on Tuesday. A solid showing for the Titans netted them third place overall with 112 points. Newell Fonda finished in second with 143 points followed by meet champion Woodbine with 153 points.
The Titans ended up with five champions overall. Keria Hammen kept her success streak alive in the field events where she won the shot put with a winning throw of 36-02.50 and discus with a throw of 109-00. Chloe Judisch was able to secure a win in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:02.37 and was second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:32.37.
The distance events were dominated by the Titans where Brenna McAlister won the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:29.50 and Iris Melody won the 3000-meter run with a winning time of 11:49.34. The best winning relay at this meet was the 4X800 team, composed of McAlister, Emme Myers, Judisch, and Katie Burley, who finished second with a time of 11:15.32.
The Titans will be hosting the Ross Samuelson Relays on Friday, April 28th where Ar-We-Va, East Sac, Kuemper, and Paton Churdan all will be competing.
