Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Carroll and Kuemper Boys Soccer were in Action Tuesday

Carroll picked up a nice bounce-back win in the Raccoon River Conference, getting a early goal in the 2nd  half to beat Boone 1-0. The Tigers played hard from the start, picking up confidence along the way. Their ball movement put them in good position, allowing them to take 16 shots on goal with Kieran Polking leading the way with 4 shots on goal. The pressure paid off with Landon Petersen finding Markus Wagner with 33:23 left to give Carroll a 1-0 lead. The defense was sharp all night and Tanner Heithoff finished with 11 saves.

Markus Wagner had the game winning goal and Landon Petersen added an assist. Tanner Heithoff made 11 saves. Kieran Polking had a team high 4 shots on goal as the Tigers had eight players take at least one shot on goal with six of those players taking two or more.

The win improves Carroll to 3-6 overall and 1-3 in the RRC. They travel to East Sac on Thursday.

Kuemper held firm for most of the 1st half but Glenwood took control the final ten minutes and built a 5-0 lead at half. The Rams added 5 more goals in the 2nd half to knock off the Knights 10-0. Kuemper finished with 5 shots on goal, with Tommy Fitzsimmons leading the way with 3. Michael Kasperbauer ended the night with 8 saves.

The loss drops Kuemper to 3-7, snapping their 3 game winning streak. They travel to Denison Schleswig on Monday.
