Boys Track Results Thursday, April 20th
Kuemper At Carroll Tiger Relays
There were portions of 15 teams that ran at the Tiger Relays on Thursday with Underwood edging Lewis Central for the team title 67 to 66. Harlan and Glenwood tied for 3rd with 63 points each. Kuemper Catholic came in 7th with 48 points and Carroll High was 9th with 35 points. The Knights had twelve individuals or relays place while Carroll finished with nine relays or individuals place. Kuemper claimed a championship, with Knights adding four 2nd or 3rd places and Carroll with two 2nd or 3rd places finishes.
Ben Gerken put his name on the qualifying list for Drake, clearing 6-05 to win the High Jump for Kuemper. Trevor Rial was 2nd in the 400 Hurdles. Evan Adams was 3rd in the Discus and Jacob Greving was 3rd in the 1600 Meters. The 4×800 team took 3rd with Tregan Beiter, Koby Lampman, Trevor Rial and Jacob Greving.
Trey Hunter helped Carroll High with a 2nd place in the High Jump and was part of the Sprint Medley that finished 2nd with Reece Ziegmann, Austin Tigges and Jack White. The Distance Medley team ended up 3rd for the Tigers with Reece Ziegmann, Trey Hunter, Jack White and Ryan North.
