Girls Track Results Thursday, April 20th
Kuemper and Audubon At Carroll Tiger Relays
Carroll won the Tiger Relays on Thursday with 143 points, holding off Atlantic who finished 2nd with 127 points. Kuemper was 6th with 30 points while Audubon brought one runner, running her in two events and was 8th with 16 points. The Tigers had twenty four individual or relays score. They won eight events, having seven more 2nd or 3rd place finishes. Kuemper had eleven individuals or relays score with two events finishes 2nd or 3rd. Audubon only ran in two events and Madison Steckler took 2nd in both events.
Marie Dea was outstanding for Carroll winning the 400 Meters (1:01.07) and 800 Meters (2:23.32). Madison Tunning added a pair of individual titles, winning the 100 Meters (12.83) and the 100 Hurdles (15.28). Shay Sinnard took home the title in the Long Jump (17-02.75) and 200 Meters (26.99) and was part of the winning 4×100 (51.65) with Brenna Goins, Marasyn Wittrock and Libby Perkins. The Sprint Medley was also a champion in 1:53.23 with Brenna Goins, Libby Perkins, Madison Tunning and Marie Dea. Emma Kuhlmann was 2nd in the Shot Put and Autumn Fortner was 2nd in the 400 Hurdles. Carroll was 2nd in the 4×200 with Brenna Goins, Marasyn Wittrock, Aubrie Drake and Shay Sinnard. Julia Kanne took 2nd in the 1500 Meters. The Tigers were 3rd in the Distance Medley with Marasyn Wittrock, Aubrie Schmitt-Hubbard, Averi Burke and Katelyn Aden.
Ellie Sibbel finished 2nd for Kuemper in the Discus and Charlotte Hackfort was 2nd in the 800 Meters.
Madison Steckler ran well for Audubon as their only competitor. She set a new PR while taking 2nd in both the 100 Meters and 100 Hurdles.
