Boys Golf Results for Thursday, April 20th

Kuemper and Treynor at Harlan

The Kuemper Knights came away with a great win against Harlan and Treynor Thursday. The Knights were able to slide past Harlan for the meet win with a score of 170 compared to Harlan’s 171. Treynor was third overall with a score of 180.

All six of the Knights’ golfers ended up with scores below 50. Maverick Schwabe and Braxton Vonnahme captured the top scores once again. Schwabe ended up with medalist honors with a score of 38 followed by Vonnahme with a score of 42 for runner up medalist honors. Cater Putney and Will Simons rounded out the top scores for Kuemper with the same score of 45. Dawson Billmeier was just outside the top scorers with a score of 46 on the day. Finally, Kayden Schon finished his day on the course with a score of 48. 

The Knights are back in action on Monday, April 24th when they compete at the Monarch Invitational along with Carroll High.

West Bend Mallard at South Central Calhoun

South Central Calhoun 168

West Bend Mallard 217

 

The South Central Calhoun Titans continued their winning ways Thursday when they took on West Bend Mallard. The Titans had a solid day on the course, winning with a score of 168 compared to West Bend Mallard’s 217. 

Justin Hanks and Caleb Gaffney picked up the top individual honors for the Titans with Hanks ending the day with a score of 37 and medalist honors and Gaffney getting a score of 43 and runner up medalist honors. Charlie Nattress ended up with the same score as Gaffney with a 43. Nik Whipkey rounded out the top four scorers with a score of 45. Despite being out of the top four, Bryan Steig had a solid day with a score of 48 as did Merle Stauter with a score of 50.

The Titans are back on the course of Monday, April 24th when they travel to take on Pocahontas Area.

Glidden Ralston at Greene County

 

The Glidden Ralston Wildcats had to battle cold and windy conditions Thursday as they traveled to Jefferson to take on Greene County. Greene County was able to grab the home win against the Wildcats.

Carson Peters had a nice day on the course with a final score of 44, earning him runner up medalist honors. More details from this event were not received by the host school at the time of this article’s posting. Carroll Broadcasting Sports Network will update this post once more information is received.
