Boys Golf Results for Monday, April 17th, 2023
Carroll and Kuemper at Spencer Invite
Carroll and Kuemper were both part of a stacked Spencer Invitational Monday. The Knights had the best finish of the two teams, finishing third overall with a team score of 325 while Carroll finished 11th overall with a score of 362. Western Christian won the invitational with a score of 317.
Carter Putney had the best individual finish among area golfers at this meet with a score of 78, good for seventh overall. Maverick Schwabe had another solid meet score with an 80 on the course. Braxton Vonnahme was three strokes behind Schwabe with a score of 83 on the day. Kayden Schon rounded out a solid day of golf for the Knights with a score of 84.
For the Carroll Tigers it was Bryce Berlau who ended up with the best finish with a score of 81. Miles Bouge was next up in the top four with a score of 91 on the day. Wyatt Ragaller kept close with Bouge on the day with a score of 93. Finally, Wade Ragaller rounded out the scoring for the Tigers with a score of 97 overall on the course.
Up next for both teams, Carroll is at Perry on Tuesday, April 18th when they take on Perry and Boone while Kuemper is off until Thursday, April 20th when they travel to take on Harlan.

Glidden Ralston and Coon Rapids Bayard at Boyer Valley
Coon Rapids Bayard and Glidden Ralston were both at Boyer Valley Monday competing in another Rolling Valley Conference meet. The Crusaders continued their string of success with a win at this meet with a score of 167. Glidden Ralston finished the day with a team score of 203.
Max Shirbroun had a great performance on the course, tying with Chase Jahde of CAM Anita for first place individually with a score of 40. After a playoff between the two golfers, Jahde was named medalist and Shirbroun was runner up medalist. Toby Benninger and Logan Kenyon were only two strokes behind Shirbroun, finishing with a score of 42. Jacob Estrada rounded out the top scorers for Coon Rapids Bayard with a score of 43.
Glidden Ralston’s Ethan Olberding had the best score among his teammates with a score of 45. Carson Peters wasn’t too far behind with a score of 50 on the course. Mark Lensch kept the team steady with a solid score of 53 on the day. Finally, Blayce Nelson rounded out the top four scorers with a score of 55.
Glidden Ralston will have a short trip on Thursday, April 20th when they take on Greene County while Coon Rapids Bayard will have the Hal Rossow Invitational on Saturday, April 22nd at Lake Panorama National Golf Course.
