Coon Rapids Bayard at Des Moines Christian at Jester Park
The Coon Rapids Bayard Crusaders closed out a windy day at Jester Park with a seventh-place finish as they took on some stiff competition. The Crusaders had a team score of 365. Des Moines Christian was the eventual winner of their home invitational with a team score of 326
The Crusaders were led by Toby Benninger who ended the windy day with a score of 88. Gavin Heiderscheit was one stroke behind him with a score of 89 followed by Logan Kenyon with a score of 90. Max Shirbroun rounded out the top four scorers for Coon Rapids Bayard with a score of 98. Crusaders Head Coach David Van Ahn says his guys learned a lot from this meet about playing top-quality competition on a quality course with fast greens that takes a lot of mental and physical courage.
The Crusaders are back in action this Saturday, April 15th when they compete at the IKM-Manning tournament.
