Carroll controlled the ball the majority of the game, using that to jump to a 4-0 lead at half and cruising to a 10-2 win. Sophia Polking and Paige Pothoff both had huge nights, combining for 9 goals and an assist. Pothoff scored first for the Tigers, scoring off a deflection from a shot by Polking. The Tigers took a 1-0 lead with 33:05 left in the 1st half. Polking extended the lead to 2-0 with a goal at 28:15. The lead grew to 3-0 on a nice shot from Macey Weber with 24:15 left in the half. Carroll kept the quick scoring pace up when Polking scored her second goal of the half on a perfectly executed free kick with 19:10 left. Polking placed the ball exactly where she wanted, just above the reach of the goalie. The Tigers kept the pressure on to start the 2nd half with Polking scoring her third goal, 2:04 into the 2nd half. Paige Pothoff added her second goal with 35.25 left and Carroll began pulling away, up 6-0. Greene County was able to get on the board a few minutes later but Polking scored the fourth of her six goals with 29:57 left and Carroll was up 7-1. Greene County scored 2:56 later to make it 7-2 but wouldn’t score again as the Carroll defense played well. Sophia Polking made it 8-2 with 10:30 remaining, then scored her sixth and final goal with 2:29 left. Paige Pothoff capped her three goal night with 1:53 left.
Sophia Polking led Carroll with 6 goals which could be a school record. Paige Pothoff added 3 goals and Macey Weber had a goal and an assist. Kiley Riesberg was strong in the net with 1 save.
Carroll improves to 1-2 on the season and will host LoMa on Tuesday.

East Sac slips to 0-2 on the season, falling to Panorama 10-0 on Thursday. The Raiders trailed 7-0 at half, struggling to keep the ball on the offensive end. The Raiders didn’t get a shot on goal and Panorama was able to take advantage, keeping pressure on the Raiders defense and Denae Thayer, who finished with 13 saves. The Panthers ended the game in the 2nd half with three more goals as they improve to 3-0.
East Sac heads on the road Monday, playing at West Sioux, a rescheduled game from March 31st.
