Carroll dropped their season and home opener on Monday, hosting Greene County in Breda on a cloudy and windy day. The Tigers had all four of their golfers who scored, finish under 50 but the Rams had five of their six golfers shoot in the 40’s and were able to edge the Tigers. Carroll had three guys between 46 and 48 while Greene County had three golfers between 44 and 46.

Jack Hanson of Greene County was the medalist, shooting a 36. Bryce Berlau was runner-up medalist, pacing the Tigers with a 37. He shot better then Hanson on three holes while losing two holes to Hanson. Hanson shot a 2 on number 5 while Berlau had a 5. That holed turned out to be the difference in the match. Wyatt Ragaller shot a 46 for Carroll while Miles Bogue and Wade Ragaller both had 48.

Coon Rapids Bayard and Glidden Ralston At Rolling Valley Conference At Woodbine

Coon Rapids Bayard and Glidden Ralston opened their seasons on the road at Woodbine in a meet with six schools from the Rolling Valley Conference. CAM Anita brought home the team title with a 176 and had the medalist and runner-up medalist. Boyer Valley finished 2nd with a 178 while Coon Rapids Bayard was 3rd with a 192. The Wildcats finished 6th, shooting a 233. The Crusaders had three golfers in the 40’s and their fourth golfer shoot a 51. Glidden Ralston had three guys shoot in the 50’s and their fourth scorer shoot a 60.

Seth Hensley of CAM Anita was the Medalist with a 37, while his teammate Chase Jahde was runner-up medalist with a 40. Ben Nickols of Boyer Valley took 3rd place, also shooting a 40. Gavin Heiderschiet led the Crusaders with a 44, followed by Toby Benninger with a 48, Logan Kenyon a 49 and Max Shirbroun a 51. Ethan Olberding led the Wildcats with a 57 followed closely by John Whitver and Blayce Nelson with both shooting a 58. Mark Lensch rounded out the Wildcats scoring with a 50.
