Brincks Exteriors Sports Report: Carroll Girls Golf Gets Past Greene County; Glidden Ralston and CRB at Boyer Valley Monday

The Carroll Tigers got their 2023 season teed off in cold conditions as they took on Greene County. Despite the wind playing a factor for everyone, the Tigers had a solid showing by winning the meet 212 to 225 and had one golfer set a new record. 

Makalei Kofron set a new varsity record with a score of 49 on the course. She was also named medalist for the meet. Teammate Ashlee Danner was one stroke behind her with a 50 and was runner-up medalist. Delaney Schurke rounded out a nice top three for the Tigers with a score of 54. Other scores from the Tigers included Emma Hoffman with a 59, Amelia Hensen with a 61, and Olivia Boes with a 63. The Tigers are back on the course on Tuesday, April 4th when they take on Carroll at the Muni.

Glidden Ralston and Coon Rapids Bayard at Boyer Valley

Glidden Ralston and Coon Rapids Bayard started the 2023 season with a colder than usual day as they competed at Boyer Valley Monday.

Glidden Ralston came away with a second-place team finish with 270 points, behind meet winner Boyer Valley who had 242 points. Coon Rapids Bayard brought one golfer to this meet and thus did not have enough golfers to have a team score.

For Glidden Ralston, Addy Boell had a nice day on the course finish with a score of 49. She was tied with Shay Burmeister for medalist honors and Boell was given that title after the tiebreaker went in her favor. Elizabeth Lloyd was next on the scoreboard for Glidden Ralston finishing with a 60 over and was seventh overall individually. Other scores for the Wildcats included Ashtyn Klocke with a 77 and Summer Toms who scored an 84. 

Summer South represented the Coon Rapids Bayard Crusaders at this meet as she finished the course with a score of 85, good for 17th overall at the meet individually.

Up next for both teams they will be in another Rolling Valley Conference meet on Monday, April 10th as they travel to Atlantic.
