Boys Track Results Monday, April 3rd
East Sac, Paton Churdan and Kuemper At South Central Calhoun Ink Wunderly Relays
Kuemper and South Central Calhoun went 1st and 2nd with East Sac finishing 4th and Paton Churdan 9th at the Ink Wunderly Relays at Lake City on Monday. It was a windy night which impacted the kids but they all did a nice job batting through. The Knights won the meet by winning more events than anyone. Kuemper had 10 champions along with 9-2nd or 3rd place finishes. East Sac brought home 3 championships along with 5-2nd or 3rd place finishes. South Central Calhoun had the most events finish 2nd or 3rd with 12, but had one champion. Paton Churdan finished in the top 8 twice.
Evan Adams had a strong night, setting a personal best in the shot put. He threw a 47-01.00 on his final throw to set the new record. Adams won both the shot put and discus (138-02) for Kuemper. DJ Vonnahme won the 100 meters for the Knights with a 11.20 and the 200 meters in 23.57. Jacob Greving won the 800 meters in 2:08.88 and the 3200 meters in 10:30.26. Ben Gerken claimed a title in the long jump, with his best effort a 20-02.75. The Knights won the 4×100 in 46.52 with Logan Sibenaller, Ben Gerken, Chris Mohr and DJ Vonnahme. They added a title in the 4×200 with Sean Healy, Chris Mohr, Ethan Loew and Evan Loew in 1:45.46. Kuemper won the 4×400 in 3:52.90 with Koby Lampman, Ryan Sundrup, Jacob Greving and Trevor Rial. Koby Lampman took 2nd in the 400 meters, Tregan Beiter was 2nd in the 1600 meters, Trevor Rial was 2nd in the 400 hurdles, Chris Mohr was 2nd in the discus, DJ Vonnahme was 2nd in the long jump. Connor Hays took 3rd in the shot put. Kuemper was 3rd in the 4×800 with Tregan Beiter, Joe Klein, Thomas Pottebaum and Fletch Badding. The sprint medley team of Sean Healy, Logan Sibenaller, Evan Loew and Koby Lampman was 2nd and the Knights were 2nd in the distance medley with Sean Healy, Evan Loew, Ryan Sundrup and Trevor Rial.
Parker Engel won the 1600 meters for East Sac, running a 5:06.84. Garret Ortner won the 400 hurdles in 56.92 and the 4×800 won in 9:11.20 with Jack Gullett, Trace Kraus, Landon Sporrer and Parker Engel. Logan Schroeder was 2nd in the 100 meters. The Raiders were 2nd in the 4×400 with Jack Gullett, Trace Kraus, Asher Lawler and Landon Sporrer, 2nd in the shuttle hurdle with Garret Ortner, Xander Hemer, Landon Grindle and Trace Kraus and 3rd in the sprint medley with Landon Grindle, Trace Kraus, Asher Lawler and Garret Ortner.
Keegan Soard was South Central Calhoun champion, winning the high jump at 5-08. Brock Nattress was 3rd in the 200 meters, Zakiah Pettigrew was 2nd and Andrew Anderson 3rd in the 110 hurdles, Tristan Blair finished 2nd and Redge Potts 3rd in the 3200 meters. Andrew Anderson added a 3rd in the 400 hurdles, Wyatt Mernka was 3rd in the discus, Keegan Soard took 3rd in the long jump. The Titans took 2nd in the 4×100 with Brock Nattress, Keegan Soard, Zakiah Pettigrew and Wyatt Mernka. They were 3rd in the 4×400 with Kayden Hammen, Chance Roeder, Landen Evans and Levi Evanoski. The shuttle hurdle team took 3rd with Chance Roeder, Kolin Folsom, Matt Nath and Jordan Moreno and they were 3rd in the distance medley with Chance Roeder, Wil Schmit, Grady Isaacs and Jordan Moreno.
Phoenix Hartman scored points for Paton Churdan, taking 6th in the 400 meters and 7th in the long jump. Logan Summers added an 8th place in the shot put.

Audubon and IKM-Manning At Treynor
IKM-Manning won 3 championships and had 6 other events finish in the top 5 while Audubon had 2 event finish in the top 5 as the Wolves took 5th and Audubon 14th at Treynor on Monday. The Wolves finished with 66 points and Audubon with 15 points.
Ross Kusel claimed one of the three Wolves titles, winning the high jump at 5-10. He was joined in the championship circle by Caden Keller in the 1600 meters (4:43.56) and the 4×800 with Lane Sams, Hunter Smith, Reed Hinners and Caden Keller. The Wovles added a 4th from Cooper Irlmeier in the long jump, a 2nd in the distance medley with Jase Lueth, Max Butler, Isaac Blankman and Ben Ramsey, a 4th from Lane Sams in the 800 meters, Reed Hinners 4th in the 1600 meters, 5th in the 4100 with Davis Rasmussen, Eli Dreyer, Cooper Irlmeier and Ross Kusel and 5th in the 4×400 with Ben Ramsey, Justin Segebart, Isaac Blankman and Abe Polzien.
Audubon took 4th in the shuttle hurdle with Aaron Olsen, Manny Beisswenger, Brody Schultes and Gabe Jensen and Zeke Konkler taking 5th in the 800 meters.
